The Eternal Fool’s Words of Wisdom anime has added another name to its cast. Minori Fujidera will voice Rina, a young, hardworking girl from the ruined village of Falltown, in the series set to premiere in January 2027. The announcement came alongside the anime’s newly revealed main visual.

Rina sounds like more than a background face. She fights with a sword, but she also carries a hidden talent for magic — a combination that fits neatly into a fantasy world where appearances are rarely the whole story. Her home, Falltown, hints at a rougher corner of that world, and her work ethic suggests a character who has had to earn everything she has.
Minori Fujidera Joins The Eternal Fool’s Words of Wisdom Cast as Rina
Fujidera joins a cast led by Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Asley and Yoko Hikasa as Pochi. Asley is the eternally youthful, eternally foolish sorcerer at the heart of the story, while Pochi is his Level 100 canine familiar — and the friend who finally pushes him out of two centuries of solitude and back into society.
The staff also used the announcement to celebrate the adaptation in style: the novels’ illustrator Kurihito Muto and manga adaptation artist Fuh Araki both drew commemorative illustrations to mark the anime’s arrival.
Behind the camera, Keisuke Onishi directs the series at Studio Elle, with Kurasumi Sunayama in charge of series scripts and Yumiko Mizuno designing the characters. Yuri Habuka composes the music at Lantis.
What Is The Eternal Fool’s Words of Wisdom About?
The story follows Asley after thousands of years of near-total isolation. When Pochi demands that he get some fresh air for the first time in two centuries, Asley sets out to rejoin society, restore his battered reputation and test his magic against the wider world. Along the way there is a mysterious Familiar Feud, old titles to shed and plenty of dignity to lose.
The original story by Hifumi began serialising on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in January 2015 and ended in September 2019. J-Novel Club releases the manga adaptation under the title The Eternal Fool’s Words of Wisdom: A Pawsitively Fantastic Adventure.
With a January 2027 debut on the calendar, the slow drip of cast announcements is doing its job: each new name fills in another corner of Asley’s world. Rina, a swordswoman with secret magic from a ruined village, sounds like exactly the kind of companion who could shake up a sorcerer who thought he had seen everything.
