Cosplay conventions are usually all about packed halls and crowded walkways, but CosMeet 2026 traded the usual chaos for something far more glamorous. Last weekend, Cosplay.ph staged its “Shimmering Sapphire” edition at the five-star Okada Manila in Parañaque City, Philippines, turning a luxury hotel into a two-day celebration of anime, cosplay and fandom creativity.

CosMeet 2026 Okada Manila Brings Glamour to the Cove Manila Stage
Now in its fourth year, CosMeet returned to Cove Manila, the venue’s striking glass-domed space, where high ceilings and natural sunlight gave the whole event a bright, airy feel. Organizers expanded the footprint this year, adding new setups and more room for fans to explore, and the result was the liveliest CosMeet stage yet, according to event coverage.
What really set this edition apart, though, was the shopping. More than 130 exhibitors filled the expo floor, offering everything from fan merchandise to rare finds, making the jam-packed floor a treasure hunt for collectors. For a free event, the scale was impressive, and the polished hotel setting meant photos from the weekend looked especially sharp.
Cosplayers Steal the Show at CosMeet 2026
As always, the true stars were the cosplayers. Attendees showed off their outfits of the day everywhere from Cove Manila to the Crystal Pavilion, strutting detailed costumes that drew crowds of photographers and fellow fans. The mix of elaborate builds and creative takes on popular characters gave the event its signature energy, and the hotel’s elegant backdrop only made the costumes pop more.
Beyond the stage games, special guests and activities, the atmosphere stayed upbeat across both days, with fans calling it an unforgettable convention experience. The combination of a premium venue, a huge exhibitor lineup and free entry proved to be a winning formula for the Philippine cosplay community.
What’s Next After CosMeet 2026
Cosplay.ph is not slowing down. The organizer’s year-ender event, Cosplay Matsuri, is already set for December 28-30, 2026, at the SMX Convention Center, giving fans one more big gathering to close out the year. If CosMeet 2026 is any indication, that finale will be worth marking on the calendar.
