The Milwaukee Bucks wasted no time celebrating their first win of the season — by taking a shot at Florida. After beating the Indiana Pacers on Monday night, the Bucks’ social media account trolled both the Miami Heat‘s winless start and the Tampa Bay Rays‘ World Series loss, in one perfectly timed post.

“Bad day to be a Florida sports fan,” the team’s X account posted after the victory, a line that quickly made the rounds among NBA and baseball fans alike.
Bucks troll Heat’s 0-4 start and Rays’ World Series loss
The timing was brutal for Florida sports fans. Giannis Antetokounmpo and his new team, the Miami Heat, have stumbled to an 0-4 start to the season, while the Rays fell to the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 3 of the World Series on Monday. The Bucks, neighbours of the Brewers, were happy to pile on.
There was extra spice in the fact that the Bucks themselves had been winless until Monday night. That did not stop them from talking trash after their first victory — if anything, it made the post land harder. A team that had waited all season for a win chose to spend it mocking two other teams’ misery.
Why the Bucks’ post hit so hard
The Heat angle cuts deepest because of Giannis. The former Bucks superstar now wearing a Miami jersey, watching his old team celebrate at his new team’s expense, is exactly the kind of storyline social media lives for. Add in the Brewers’ World Series win over the Rays on the same night, and Milwaukee had two Florida targets in one post.
Postgame trolling has become a staple of NBA social media, but the best ones land when the timing is perfect — and the Bucks picked a night when both of Florida’s big teams gave them material. For one night at least, Milwaukee was not just celebrating a win over the Pacers. It was celebrating at Florida’s expense.
