The second semifinal match of the evening pitted Hank and Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger) against the AAA World Tag Team Champions, the Wagner Brothers (El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. & Galeno). Watching on from ringside was the three-time AAA Mega Champion himself, the father of the Wagner Brothers, lending the bout a family atmosphere befitting the tournament’s legacy.
Hank and Tank Advance to the Dusty Classic Final
Despite the presence of their legendary father, the Wagner Brothers could not get past Hank and Tank, who emerged victorious from the semifinal. Hank and Tank now advance to the Dusty Classic final, where they will take on Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno.
The final will carry extra star power: former Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will be in attendance at the November 4 NXT to present the trophy to the tournament winners.
For the Wagner Brothers, the loss ends their run in this year’s Classic, but their AAA tag titles — and their father’s proud presence at ringside — ensured the semifinal felt like a showcase moment for lucha libre royalty on the NXT stage.
