John Cena is coming to NXT, and he is not coming alone. WWE has stacked its special Wednesday, November 4 episode of NXT with huge names and huge matches, as the brand goes head-to-head with AEW Blood & Guts on a rare Wednesday night.
Because of Election coverage, WWE’s weekly NXT program on The CW shifts from its usual Tuesday slot to Wednesday for this week only, setting up a direct ratings clash with AEW. And WWE is clearly loading up the card for the occasion.

John Cena and Cody Rhodes Both Set for November 4 NXT
The headline attraction is the 17-time WWE World Champion John Cena, who is scheduled to appear on the November 4 NXT. Cena will be in the middle of a busy week, as he is also set to appear on Monday Night Raw earlier that same week.
Also set for the show is Cody Rhodes, who will be in attendance for one of the night’s biggest moments. Rhodes will present the Dusty Classic trophy to the winners of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic final, a fitting role given the tournament is named in honor of his late father, the legendary Dusty Rhodes.
Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Final Set
The tournament final will see Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno take on Hank and Tank (Hank Walker and Tank Ledger). Both teams have fought their way through the bracket to reach this point, and the winners will walk away with the Dusty Classic trophy, presented by Cody Rhodes himself.
The Dusty Classic has long been one of NXT’s most prestigious tournaments, and having Rhodes on hand to crown the winners adds real weight to the final. For Dar and Moreno, a win would be a career-defining moment, while Hank and Tank will be looking to cement their status as one of NXT’s top tag teams.
Unsanctioned Match Added to November 4 NXT
Also on the marquee is the next chapter of a bitter feud, as Dion Lennox and Cruz Montana will meet in an Unsanctioned match. With no rules and no restraints, the bout promises to be one of the most violent and personal encounters on the card.
Unsanctioned matches in NXT are rare, and they are reserved for rivalries that have gone beyond what a normal match can settle. Lennox and Montana have clearly reached that point, and fans should expect chaos when the two finally collide.
With Cena, Rhodes, a tournament final and an Unsanctioned grudge match all on one card, the November 4 NXT is shaping up to be one of the biggest episodes of the year, and a must-watch in the head-to-head battle with AEW Blood & Guts.
