Léi Yǐng Lee has been missing from TNA television for months, and now there is finally an explanation for where she has been. According to PWInsider, Lee has been away because she took an extended trip back to China to visit her family, having not been back home in many years.

Importantly for fans, Lee is still under contract with TNA. Her disappearance from Impact is not a quiet departure, despite a year that has already seen plenty of roster changes across the company.
Léi Yǐng Lee TNA Absence Reason Revealed
Lee has not appeared on TNA television since her Knockouts World Championship program with Xia Brookside over the summer. The two feuded heading into Slammiversary, with their rivalry turning physical on Impact before their title match.
Brookside defeated Lee at Slammiversary on June 28 to capture the Knockouts World Championship. Lee then got her rematch on the July 1 Impact taping in Albany, where Brookside retained the title in a No Disqualification match, which turned out to be Lee’s last TNA appearance before her extended absence.
Lee’s Eventful 2026 Before Her Time Away
It had already been an eventful 2026 for Lee before she stepped away. She entered the year as Knockouts World Champion and successfully defended the title against NXT’s Zaria at Genesis, before eventually losing the championship during the spring.
Lee did not stay away from the belt for long. She defeated Arianna Grace on the May 7 episode of Impact to regain the Knockouts World Championship, kicking off another run that eventually led into her feud with Brookside.
That context makes her sudden disappearance much easier to understand. Lee was not being phased out of TNA; she simply headed home to spend some long-overdue time with her family, and she remains part of the roster for whenever TNA decides to bring her back.
