If you juggle Codex, Claude Code and OpenCode across different apps and accounts, a new Mac app wants to end the tab-switching. Yardlet, launched on Product Hunt, is a free, open-source Mac app that puts the coding agents you already use into one sidebar, one composer and one set of approval cards.

The problem it solves will sound familiar to anyone who codes with AI agents. A few months ago, the maker explains, they ran Codex and Claude Code as command-line tools. Then the desktop apps got good — and suddenly they were switching between two apps and several accounts without using either one well. Yardlet was built around two strict rules: it should feel like the agents’ own apps, and it must not change the agents.
Yardlet: One Workbench for Codex, Claude Code and OpenCode
Yardlet starts each agent with its own CLI and sign-in, exactly as you already use it, and sessions stay in each agent’s own store. That means a task started in Yardlet also opens in the Codex app, and if you stop using Yardlet, nothing in your agents changes — it writes nothing into their configuration.
On top of that shared front end, agents can work together: one task can read or message another, or hand work to a different agent. When an agent passes on your approval, your own words go with it. Every account’s limits stay in view, and agents start new work on the account with the most room left, so you are less likely to hit a cap mid-task.
What Else Comes With Yardlet
Connectors you set up once serve every agent, rather than being configured separately per tool. A built-in browser lets agents fill your saved sign-ins without seeing the password, and diffs plus a pull request tab sit alongside the chat so reviewing and shipping work stays in the same window.
Yardlet is a Mac app, it is free and open source, and it is aimed squarely at developers who already run multiple coding agents and want one workbench for all of them — without giving up the apps and sign-ins they already trust.
