Written by Harvey Award winner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and illustrated by Eisner Award winner Francesco Francavilla, Afterlife With Archie originally debuted in 2013 to rave reviews. The series hurled the wholesome teens of Riverdale into a zombie apocalypse, reimagining Archie Andrews, Jughead Jones, Betty Cooper, and Veronica Lodge as unlikely horror anti-heroes — and definitively redefined the intensity of Archie Comics for a new generation.

IGN can exclusively reveal artwork from the Mausoleum Edition Vol. 1 set, including exclusive posters and glow-in-the-dark cover art. The collection arrives even as Oni Press kicks off a brand-new era for the franchise, making this hardcover a celebration of the classic that started it all.
The publisher’s official description calls the series a “sold-out, smash-hit series that would immediately and definitively redefine the art and intensity of Archie Comics for a new generation,” noting it was “unrelentingly celebrated by critics and ferociously followed by fans.”
For fans who watched Archie Comics push its characters into bold, darker territory — a path that eventually led to Riverdale and other reimaginings — the Mausoleum Edition looks like the definitive way to own one of the most influential comics of the last decade.
