Set during the Japanese occupation of Korea, the drama stars Kim You Jung as Lee Ga Kyeong, a pickpocket who becomes an undercover spy for the independence movement and infiltrates the Japanese Government-General of Korea. There she becomes entangled with interpreter Kim Tae Woong (GOT7’s Park Jinyoung), who also goes by the name Sato Hideo and is the adopted son of the Inspector-General of Korea.
100 Days of Deception: emotional fallout from Geum Seok Joong’s death
On the previous episode, Lee Ga Kyeong was left in deep shock after witnessing Geum Seok Joong (Kam Woo Sung) shot and killed by Sato Shinichi (Jin Sun Kyu). When Sato Hideo walked her home out of concern and asked, “Are you okay?”, she finally stopped pretending and admitted, “No, I’m not okay.” He embraced her as she broke down sobbing.
The late-night drink between rivals
Newly released stills show Sato Hideo and Yoo Philip (Lee Moo Saeng) sitting across from one another over a late-night drink in Lee Ga Kyeong’s absence. Though surprised by the sudden visit, Yoo Philip hides his wariness behind a cool, relaxed demeanor — while Sato Hideo does not hide his displeasure at their “inappropriate” relationship. Expect sparks when the two rivals sit down.

A spy caught between two men
The love triangle is complicated by divided loyalties. Kim Tae Woong, a.k.a. Sato Hideo, is the adopted son of the Inspector-General of Korea, the second-highest-ranking official in the administration — the very power structure Lee Ga Kyeong is spying against. Every tender moment between them, like the embrace after Geum Seok Joong’s death, happens under the shadow of the secret she is carrying.
Into that fragile space steps Yoo Philip, whose late-night drink with Sato Hideo promises to turn their rivalry into something more direct. The stills tease a cool, controlled confrontation: Philip hides his nerves behind relaxed composure while Hideo makes no secret of his displeasure. For viewers, the question is whether this face-off is about Ga Kyeong’s heart — or about the danger closing in around all three of them.
