Harry Kane missed a penalty in his first match since winning the Ballon d’Or, as Bayern Munich were held to a 2-2 draw by Borussia Dortmund in Der Klassiker at the Allianz Arena after Fabio Silva’s 89th-minute equaliser.

Harry Kane Penalty Miss in Bayern vs Dortmund
Kane, who displayed football’s most prestigious individual award to the Allianz Arena crowd before kick-off, had a glorious chance to make it 2-0 in the 56th minute with Bayern 1-0 up through Konrad Laimer’s 38th-minute strike — but his spot-kick crashed against the crossbar. It was only his second missed penalty in the Bundesliga, in 27 attempts.
Dortmund made him pay almost immediately. Serhou Guirassy levelled on the hour after Kane was dispossessed in the build-up. Dayot Upamecano then restored Bayern’s lead in the 66th minute, tapping in from Kane’s headed knockdown — but Bayern could not hold on.
Fabio Silva’s Late Equaliser Keeps Dortmund Level at Top
Substitute Fabio Silva fired home in the 89th minute to earn BVB a deserved point. Bayern struck the woodwork again in stoppage time through Lennart Karl, and Dortmund twice came from behind in a thriller that saw Jobe Bellingham have an earlier goal disallowed by VAR.
The draw keeps both teams unbeaten eight games into the Bundesliga season and level on 18 points at the top, with Bayern ahead on goal difference. Bayern were again overseen by assistant Aaron Danks, with manager Vincent Kompany recovering after his collapse last week.
