If you’ve ever run two AI coding agents on the same repo, you know the pain: both quietly edit the same file, and one of them only finds out at merge time. Agentmash, a new open-source launch on Product Hunt, calls itself “multiplayer AI for teams’ coding agents” — a shared context layer so agents can see what a teammate’s agent is changing and sort out conflicts themselves.
The pitch: connect Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity or your own open-source models, switch between tasks running on different models, @mention a teammate or an agent like in Slack, and keep skills, chats and automations in sync — all without overwriting anyone’s code. (Image Credits: Product Hunt)
How Agentmash Handles Agent Conflicts
Today’s default advice for agent teams — including Anthropic’s own docs — is to split file ownership by hand. That works until a task touches shared types or a router file, at which point you’re back to babysitting agents.
Agentmash goes the other way: every agent sees what the others are changing. In the team’s benchmarks, agents with the shared layer caught 98.6% of overlapping work before touching the file, compared to 55% without it.
Who Agentmash Is For
This is aimed squarely at teams already running Claude Code, Codex or similar agents in parallel — where the conflict problem is real enough to pay for. It’s open source and tagged for developers, AI and GitHub workflows. The makers are upfront that in some setups, splitting files by hand is still the saner call — worth keeping in mind before you adopt it.
