A new Y Combinator-launched startup wants to be your company’s credit card for AI. ernd, which launched on Product Hunt, describes itself as “the credit card for the AI stack” — card spend at AI vendors earns 4% back, with no annual fee.

What ernd’s AI Credit Card Actually Does
ernd is built for companies that pay for AI. Beyond the 4% cashback on AI vendor spend, the startup says it is negotiating partnerships with AI providers to unlock better pricing, faster inference and dedicated GPUs for cardholders.
The pitch comes from personal frustration: the founders say that when they tried to rent GPUs for a different startup idea, they were met with terrible deals and a lack of capacity because they didn’t have enough scale. Providers, they argue, save their best pricing, limits and capacity for their biggest customers.
Who ernd Is For — and What’s Live Now
ernd says it partners with AI providers to create custom deals for cardholders, letting companies of any scale access enterprise-level perks. The founders also promise perks like faster inference and dedicated GPUs through those partnerships.
As of launch day, requests are open and virtual cards are set to go out next week. The company is asking the community which AI provider partner it should negotiate with next. One fun detail from the launch thread: the team’s story is titled “We Got into YC, Got Kicked Out, and Fought Our Way Back.”
If your company’s monthly AI spend is growing fast, ernd’s 4%-back positioning is worth a look — but as with any new fintech card, check the eligibility terms and provider list once the full details are published.
