Fred Rosser — known to WWE fans as Darren Young — has named the three young prospects who stood out during his guest coaching stint at the WWE Performance Center this week, after clarifying that he was only there as a guest coach, not in a full-time role.

‘These Three Would Be My Wrestling Kids’
After revealing on Saturday that he was at the PC coaching the next generation, Rosser clarified on Sunday that he was doing a guest coaching spot — making his rounds ‘observing, learning, and seeing how things are done.’ But he also got hands-on with young hopefuls, and three of them left a lasting impression.
Hidetora Hanada, who came to wrestling from sumo and played football at Colorado State, won Rosser over with his willingness to be coached. ‘I’ve already fallen in love with his willingness to be coached,’ Rosser wrote, praising Hanada’s unique background and eagerness to learn.
Amy, a dancer with natural presence, ‘absolutely killed it on the mic during class,’ earning herself an opportunity on NXT television. Austin, a former bobsledder and American football player, impressed on the mic as well and earned that NXT TV chance alongside Amy — with Rosser comparing him to a young Wade Barrett.
Rosser’s Coaching Philosophy
Rosser — who competed in WWE as Darren Young from 2010 to 2017 and still wrestles, most recently at PRODUCE events — summed up his approach simply: ‘Don’t try to turn everyone into the same performer. Identify their gifts, build their confidence, and help them become the best version of themselves.’
He described his week as being about ‘brainwashing them into believing in themselves and exploiting the gifts they already possess’ — and said the three named prospects would definitely be ‘my wrestling kids if I were there full-time.’
