Lei Ying Lee has not parted ways with TNA Wrestling after all. According to Fightful Select, the former TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champion is still under contract with the promotion — even though she has not wrestled a single match for the company since the July tapings.

Lei Ying Lee TNA Contract Status: In China Handling Personal Business

Fightful Select reports that Lee has been in China handling some personal business, which explains her extended absence from TNA programming. PWInsider first reported the news that she remained under contract despite the long layoff, and Fightful’s sources have now backed that up.

The timeline raised eyebrows among fans. Lee last appeared on TNA television during the July tapings, and months of silence had many assuming her deal had quietly expired or been terminated. Instead, she is apparently still very much a part of the roster — just sidelined by matters away from the ring.

What Comes Next for Lei Ying Lee in TNA?

The report does not say when Lee is expected to return to action or what creative plans TNA might have for her. Her absence came at an awkward time for the Knockouts division, which has been shuffling its deck through the fall stretch of tapings.

Still, the confirmation that she remains under contract is good news for fans who were hoping to see her back. Lee has been one of TNA’s most reliable in-ring performers, and a rested, re-focused return could put her right back in the hunt for championship gold in 2027.

Until then, the only update is that her contract status was never the mystery — her whereabouts were. Now both questions have at least a partial answer.
