WWE’s beloved Sign Guy Rick Achberger will be honored with a celebration of life later this month following his passing in September. According to PWInsider, the gathering is scheduled for Saturday, November 27, from 12 PM to 2 PM at Kelly’s Restaurant & Bar on Preston Road in Frisco, Texas, and anyone who knew him is welcome to attend.

Achberger became instantly recognizable to wrestling fans through his years of sitting in the front row at WWE events with his homemade signs. His presence became such a familiar part of the WWE experience that numerous WWE stars paid tribute to him after news of his passing.
Jonathan Coachman recently revealed how much Achberger meant to people behind the scenes. Speaking on The Coach and Bro Show, Coachman recalled that Achberger worked for Verizon and saved his own money to travel the country attending WWE shows, never asking the company for special treatment.

That dedication eventually caught Triple H’s attention. Coachman said Triple H had him hold Achberger after a show, which initially worried Sign Guy that he was in trouble. Instead, Triple H told him how much WWE appreciated his support and declared that he would never have to buy another WWE ticket again: as long as Triple H was there, Achberger would always have seats.
The November 27 celebration will give the wrestling community a chance to honor a fan who became part of the show itself.
