Lovely Runner, Squid Game and Romance Hits
For peak swoon, start with “Business Proposal” — Ahn Hyo Seop plays chaebol Kang Tae Moo, who falls for Shin Ha Ri (Kim Se Jeong) after she stands in for her best friend on a blind date. Fake dating, jealous moments, and a chaebol hero falling head over heels — it’s the ultimate light-hearted cure for boredom.
Then there’s “Lovely Runner”, the time-travel romance that’ll have you laughing one minute and crying the next. After top star Ryu Sun Jae’s (Byeon Woo Seok) death, devoted fan Im Sol (Kim Hye Yoon) travels 15 years back in time to save him. Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon’s chemistry is off the charts, and Sun Jae’s endless yearning will wreck you in the best way.
And of course, the series that took the world by storm: “Squid Game”. 456 players, childhood games turned deadly, and 45.6 billion won on the line. Lee Jung Jae, Park Hae Soo, Jung Ho Yeon and Wi Ha Joon star in this nail-biting thriller that stays impossible to ignore even if you’re not a thriller person.
Action, Body-Swaps and Second Chances
Need adrenaline? “My Secret Terrius”-style action comes courtesy of So Ji Sub as a former spy dragged back into action when his daughter is kidnapped by a school bully. Watching a regular dad unleash elite skills never gets old, and the father-daughter emotional core keeps every episode gripping.
For something different, there’s a new body-swap gem: top actress Yoon Ha Na (Kim Ji Yeon) switches souls with her twin brother and lands in the past, desperate to save her first love Jung Woo Jae (Park Seo Ham), a judo prodigy turned bodyguard. The hook from episode one is unreal.
Each of these nine picks earned its spot by being impossible to stop watching — no filler episodes, no slog, just pure binge fuel. Pick one, dim the lights, and say goodbye to your boredom.
