Melanie Lynskey Shuts Down 'Two and a Half Men' Pay Rumors: She Earned 'One Tenth' of $200K Per Episode

Melanie Lynskey is setting the record straight about her “Two and a Half Men” paycheck. The “Yellowjackets” actress shot down “insane” claims that she made “millions of dollars” from the 12-season CBS sitcom, where she played Rose, Charlie Harper’s (Charlie Sheen) neighbor and eventual stalker.

Responding to an Instagram commenter who claimed she made “200,000 to 300,000” per episode, Lynskey fired back: “Hey! Sorry, but this insane number is floating around on the internet and I must tell you how wrong it is. I only did 63 out of 262 episodes of that show.”

What Melanie Lynskey Actually Earned on Two and a Half Men

“I made literally one tenth of that stated number per episode,” she wrote — revealing she started at $20,000 per episode with, she believes, a 5% raise each season. She also pointed out that “more than half of the episodes I did were in the first two seasons,” before her recurring role tapered off.

Why the Two and a Half Men Salary Rumors Keep Spreading

The internet has long loved to speculate about sitcom salaries — especially for a show as lucrative as “Two and a Half Men,” where Charlie Sheen famously earned record-breaking money. But Lynskey’s reality check shows how different the math is for a recurring guest star versus a series lead. “There is this insane idea that I made millions of dollars,” she said — and the actual numbers tell a far more modest story.
