‘Blade Runner 2099’ Trailer: Hunter Schafer & Michelle Yeoh Team Up
Nearly 45 years later, a new Blade Runner is back to make the Ridley Scott franchise “more human than human” once again.
On Saturday at New York Comic-Con, Prime Video released key art and a new trailer for the eight-episode limited series created by Silka Luisa with Amazon MGM Studios and Alcon Television Group, premiering in full Nov. 25 on the streamer.
Set 50 years after the events of Blade Runner 2049, Los Angeles has been reborn, just not by humanity. Cora (Hunter Schafer), a fugitive in a final bid to stop running, takes on one last identity: a Blade Runner. Forced to partner with Olwen (Michelle Yeoh), a Replicant days from dying, she hunts down a runaway hiding a truth that could collapse a fragile city.
Luisa, Yeoh and Schafer took the stage at Prime Video’s NYCC panel on Sunday, along with cast members Dimitri Abold, Lewis Gribben and Matthew Needham, as well as executive producers Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson.
The series also stars Katelyn Rose Downey, Daniel Rigby, Johnny Harris, Amy Lennox, Sheila Atim, Tom Burke and Maurizio Lombardi.
Luisa serves as showrunner, creator and executive producer. Additional EPs include Ridley Scott, Alcon Entertainment co-founders Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson, Alcon’s President of Television Ben Roberts, Steven Johnson, David W. Zucker and Clayton Krueger from Scott Free Productions, Richard Sharkey, Tom Spezialy, Michael Green, Cynthia Yorkin, Frank Giustra, Tim Gable, Isa Dick Hackett and Jonathan van Tulleken, who directed the first two episodes.
Directed by Scott, the original Blade Runner premiered in 1982, starring Harrison Ford and Sean Young. In 2017, Ford reprised his role as Rick Deckard in Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049, starring alongside Ryan Gosling.

Judge Orders Trump Administration To Stop Running Taxpayer Funded Ads
A federal judge ordered the Trump administration to stop running taxpayer-funded ads for at least 14 days, putting a halt to the spots that resemble campaign messaging.
U.S. District Judge Jennifer L. Rochon granted a temporary restraining order that prohibits Trump officials from using funds appropriated to the Department of Homeland Security for the ads. The order also will force the administration to cancel the rest of a $20 million purchase of ad time.
Common Cause, Robert Hunter, Service Employees International Union Local 32BJ and Empire State 32BJ SEIU PAC filed suit to halt the spots, arguing that the ads were overtly political yet were paid for with taxpayer funds. In one case, one of the ads that has been running was almost identical to one that was made for Trump’s 2024 campaign.
The plaintiffs “have demonstrated that they are likely to succeed on the merits, will suffer irreparable harm in the absence of an injunction, the balance of the equities tips in their favor, and an injunction serves the public interest,” the judge wrote.
The plaintiffs’ coalition said in a statement, “We are pleased the court acted swiftly to prevent more taxpayer dollars from being used for such blatantly unlawful political propaganda. There is no legal justification — and no precedent — for the president to use the machinery of the government and funds set aside by Congress for other uses to influence electoral outcomes that further his own agenda.”
In a filing before the judge issued her order, the Department of Homeland Security stated that the ads would not continue past Sunday.
Trump announced last week that his political action committee, MAGA Inc., would start funding the advertising campaign, but he did not say whether the federal government would be reimbursed for the costs already incurred.
The administration had previously argued that the ads were public service announcements, in line with past presidents. But past administrations produced PSAs to promote programs like the Affordable Care Act and initiatives like vaccinations against Covid.

Below Deck’s Gael Cameron Speaks After Domestic Violence Charges Against Ex
To say it’s been a tough year for Below Deck Mediterranean’s Gael Cameron is an understatement.
Season 11 of the show documented the new mom tending to infant Kayden in Croatia as the boy’s father, Nathan Gallager, worked 18-hour days on a nearby superyacht, the Akira One.
Once the season was over, the couple split after an alleged December 2025 domestic violence incident in which Gallagher was arrested for assault. (Bravo has since cut ties with him.)
While Gallagher spoke out in an interview with Rolling Stone, Cameron has kept her own counsel — until now.
On Friday, the former castmember took to Instagram to share some of her feelings about Season 11 and the subsequent fallout.
“You didn’t get to see much of my time in Croatia,” she began. “It wasn’t the easiest chapter of my life and there’s still so much to be said about that time. But I’d love to share a bit of the good you guys didn’t get to see.”
She shared candid photos of Below Deck S11 Head Stew Aesha Scott’s engagement party, which was shown in part in the finale. Also in the photos are Captain Sandy Yawn and former Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier.

“I moved away with a new baby and honestly still in survival mode. But honestly? I think I did pretty good.”
She also shared images of herself and Kayden.

“Leaving my support system at home wasn’t the plan, but I’m grateful for the experience,” she continued. “Croatia showed me the strength I have as a mother and as a woman; no matter how challenging the circumstances, I will survive. And not only that, I’ll always find pockets of joy, cause life is a beautiful thing and there is always light as long as you keep looking for it.”
