Attack on Titan: The Musical is going global. The stage musical based on Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan announced Tuesday that it will embark on a world tour beginning with a run at the Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands in Singapore from April 15 to May 2, 2027.

Bringing the Walls to the World

The tour will announce additional dates at a later time, so fans outside Singapore should stay tuned for stops closer to home. The musical blends traditional staging and music with cutting-edge technology to recreate the world of Attack on Titan on stage.

Gō Ueki directs the musical, with Masafumi Hata writing the book. Hip hop artist KEN THE 390 serves as music director, with lyrics by Kaori Miura — a creative team that gives the show a distinctly modern energy.

The production first ran at the Orix Theater in Osaka and the Seinenkan Hall in Tokyo in January 2023. It then made its international debut at the New York City Center in October 2024, proving the show could travel. This new world tour is the next logical step for a production that has already won over audiences on two continents.

A Franchise That Refuses to Fade

Attack on Titan remains one of the biggest anime and manga franchises on the planet years after the manga concluded. Isayama launched the original manga in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in 2009 and ended the series in April 2021, with the 34th and final compiled volume shipping in June 2021. The anime adaptation first premiered in April 2013 and became a global phenomenon across its four seasons.

The Singapore run is still months away, but tickets for high-profile anime stage productions tend to move fast. If you are in Southeast Asia — or willing to travel — mark your calendars.

Anime stage musicals — the so-called 2.5D theater scene — have grown into a serious industry in Japan, and Attack on Titan’s production is one of the most ambitious examples. Recreating the world of the walls, the Titans, and the Survey Corps’ vertical maneuvering gear on a live stage is no small feat, which is exactly why the show’s blend of traditional staging and modern technology drew so much attention in Tokyo and Osaka.

Singapore is a smart launchpad for the world tour. The city-state has become a major hub for international entertainment in Southeast Asia, and the Sands Theatre is one of the region’s premier venues. A sold-out Singapore run would be a strong statement of intent ahead of whatever dates are announced next.
