The film stars Emmy winner Storm Reid (“The Last of Us,” “Euphoria”) and NFL rookie-turned-actor Ceyair Wright (“Space Jam: A New Legacy”). Wright plays a talented but sheltered dance student who finds inspiration, love, and family in the last place he expected: the subways of New York City. Reid plays the girl who opens his life to new possibilities.
Teyana Taylor’s Big Swing
“Get Lite” marks a major milestone for Taylor, stepping behind the camera for her feature directorial debut with a major studio. The subway-dance setting promises a film with music, movement, and heart — and landing a veteran like Nia Long signals Paramount’s confidence in the project.
Nia Long’s Hot Streak
Long continues one of the most enduring careers in Hollywood, and coming off the blockbuster “Michael,” her attachment to “Get Lite” adds serious star power to an already exciting young cast. With Storm Reid’s Emmy-winning talent and Ceyair Wright’s breakout potential, this is a cast to watch.
