The BanG Dream! franchise has dropped a fresh surprise for fans, releasing a short video featuring Ave Mujica’s brand-new song “God’s Blood” from the currently screening movie Ave Mujica: prima aurora. The track also appears on the band’s latest mini-album, which is slated for release on October 21. Ave Mujica (Credits: BanG Dream! Project)
The preview clip comes as the compilation film continues its theatrical run across Japan, with the movie animated by Nichicaline (BanG Dream! Yume∞Mita). The mini-album release later this month gives fans a second way to experience the band’s dark, theatrical sound beyond the theater.
Ave Mujica’s New Song Ties Into the Film
“God’s Blood” is one of the featured tracks from prima aurora, the film that revisits the story of the gothic-metal outfit introduced in the BanG Dream! Ave Mujica TV anime. The band’s dramatic stage persona and masked identity remain central to its appeal, and the new song leans fully into that world.
The mini-album landing on October 21 is expected to include music tied to the movie, making it an essential pickup for fans following the franchise’s latest chapter.
The Franchise Keeps Building
The Ave Mujica TV anime, subtitled The Die is Cast, debuted in January 2025, animated by Sanzigen and directed by Kodai Kakimoto. The series picked up the threads of the Sakiko Togawa saga, continuing the story of a band built on tragedy, masked personas, and a curtain that may shatter at any moment.
Fans have plenty more to look forward to. A sequel anime titled BanG Dream! Mygo!!!!! // Ave Mujica is set to begin in January 2027, bringing the MyGo!!!!! and Ave Mujica stories together on screen once more. With the film in theaters, a mini-album on the way, and a major sequel on the horizon, the BanG Dream! machine is showing no signs of slowing down.
