Roman Reigns is bringing Tribal Chief energy to the Street Fighter universe — and his old rival Cody Rhodes is nowhere near the guest list. In a new video posted by the official Street Fighter account on October 18, Reigns was asked which characters from the upcoming movie he’d invite to sit at the Head of the Table, and the former WWE champion had an answer ready for just about everybody.

The Guest List

Reigns, who plays Akuma in the upcoming film, ran through his co-stars with the confidence of a man who has never once doubted his own table manners. Chun-Li was an easy yes — though Reigns admitted his reasoning was pure self-preservation: “Yeah, because she’d probably kick us in the mouth if we said no.”

Ken made the cut without much trouble, with Reigns describing him as exactly the kind of person you’d actually want hanging around the table. Ryu, on the other hand, was shown the door. “Ryu? No, he’d just be fighting. He doesn’t stop. Bad guest.”

Then came Guile — played in the movie by none other than Cody Rhodes — and Reigns didn’t even need to explain the snub. Given the years of history between Reigns and Rhodes in WWE, the answer was about as predictable as a Tribal Chief beatdown. No seat for the American Nightmare at this table.

Akuma Takes the Head Seat

Dhalsim, played by Vidyut Jammwal, got an immediate invitation, with Reigns showing love to his co-star. Zangief also earned a spot — though Reigns made it sound like self-preservation rather than friendship: “Zangief? I have to, because if not, he’ll probably put me through the table.”

M. Bison was another yes, with Reigns joking that keeping him close was the smart play: “Bison? For sure. He’s gonna be mastering the Dark Hado pretty soon, so we gotta bring him close.”

And when his own character came up, there was never any doubt. “Akuma? Oh, he’s the Head of the Table. He’s number one.“

The video arrives as Reigns has spoken about the extensive martial arts training required to play Akuma on the big screen — but this time, he got to have some fun blending his WWE persona with the movie role, and sneaking in one more shot at Cody along the way. Reigns may be stepping into Akuma’s world, but the Tribal Chief clearly isn’t going anywhere: if there’s a Head of the Table, he’s claiming it.
