A More Mature Charm
The cinema-cut teaser images show each member gazing into the camera in different settings, leaning into what observers have described as a more mature vibe for the rookie group. While the single lands on October 22, the full music video rollout continues afterward, with the group also set to appear during the first day of the 2026 MAMA AWARDS, scheduled for November 20 and 21 at Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan.
The quick turnaround between announcement and release is part of a busy season for the group, which has been riding an extraordinary wave of momentum in its debut year.
Debut Year’s Record-Breaking Run
ALPHA DRIVE ONE was formed through Mnet’s 2025 audition show BOYS II PLANET and officially debuted on January 12, 2026 with their first EP, “EUPHORIA.” Their second EP, “UNBREAKABLE : 少年BEAST,” followed in August 2026 and sold 1.13 million copies in its first week in South Korea, giving the group two consecutive million-selling albums and pushing their cumulative album sales past two million copies.
The EP entered the Billboard World Albums chart at No. 5 (chart dated October 17), while also reaching No. 20 on Top Album Sales and No. 9 on Emerging Artists. It was released physically in the United States on October 2, marking the group’s first official U.S. physical album release, and earned a Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan ahead of their official Japanese debut.
What Comes Next
With the digital single “Talk to me” dropping October 22 and the MAMA AWARDS stage looming in late November, ALPHA DRIVE ONE shows no signs of slowing down. Their follow-up track’s journey from B-side to headline single mirrors a debut year in which everything they touch seems to turn to gold. Fans won’t have to wait long to see what this new chapter sounds like.
