The seeming lack of interest in HYBE x Geffen Records’ newest girl group, SAINT SATINE, has left many fans stunned, given the agency’s usual power to launch acts into instant popularity.

While HYBE groups are typically highly anticipated, fans have pointed out that the group’s posts get far less engagement than expected, comparable to acts outside the so-called “Big 4” agencies. As one viral fan post put it: “no one’s seated for saint satine, their twitter does odd youth numbers.”
SAINT SATINE Low Engagement Shocks HYBE Fans
What makes the low numbers striking is that they come despite consistent activity. The members regularly post on social media ahead of their debut, yet their post count keeps going up while the engagement does not follow. For a HYBE group, that disconnect is unusual enough to spark a wider conversation.
HYBE x Geffen Records first announced plans for the group in August 2025, with Emily, Samara, and Lexie revealed as the first three members. All three previously competed in The Debut: Dream Academy, the survival show that formed KATSEYE, giving the group a built-in backstory and a ready-made fanbase to draw on.
Sakura became the fourth member in May 2026 after winning the Japanese audition show World Scout: The Final Piece. But just two months later, Lexie shocked fans by departing the group, just as she had previously left The Debut: Dream Academy in 2023.
Lexie Departure Leaves SAINT SATINE Debut in Doubt
Fans were quick to link the two events. “Main slayer left, what is there to be seated for,” one fan wrote, while others argued the group needs two more strong vocalists to restore the hype. Another summed up the mood: “it’s been looking grim for them since Lexie has left, the new fourth member will definitely make or break the group.”
Since announcing Lexie’s departure in July 2026, HYBE x Geffen Records still has not confirmed whether SAINT SATINE will debut as a trio or add a new member. The group was originally expected to debut in the second half of 2026, but with just two months left in the year, many fans fear the group is on indefinite standby.
That uncertainty is now the biggest question around SAINT SATINE. A debut announcement, a new member reveal, or even a clear timeline could change the conversation quickly, but until then, the group’s social media numbers tell a story HYBE rarely hears: plenty of posts, not enough people watching.
