Drew McIntyre’s long-awaited WWE return may have to wait a little longer, after WWE announced the Scottish Warrior will be in London on November 7 — the same night Crown Jewel takes place in Saudi Arabia.

McIntyre has been missing from WWE television for six months, and November 7 had been floated as a possible comeback date. That speculation took a hit on October 24, when WWE’s official UK account confirmed McIntyre will appear at Zuffa Boxing 12 on November 7 at the Copper Box Arena in London, alongside fellow WWE Superstar Bayley, with VIP meet-and-greet tickets now available.
Drew McIntyre WWE Return: Crown Jewel Ruled Out?
The London booking puts a serious dent in hopes of a surprise Crown Jewel return, which is scheduled for the same date at Riyadh Season Stadium. While WWE has not officially ruled him out of the Premium Live Event, having him advertised for an appearance in another country on the same night makes a surprise comeback considerably less likely.
McIntyre has not appeared on WWE programming since WrestleMania 42 Night One, where he lost to Jacob Fatu in an Unsanctioned Match. Since then he has been working on Hollywood projects, including Highlander and The Last Druid. With those filming commitments now wrapped up, questions about his return have only grown, fuelled by footage he shared of himself training inside a wrestling ring — though he never gave an official comeback date.
Asked recently about his return while speaking to Collider, McIntyre kept things vague: “The wheels are turning. The wheels are turning. Like leave that with me. I mean right now we’re talking today about Hollywood Drew. We’re not worrying about my comeback right now, but the wheels are turning.”
WWE could always change its plans, but for now the picture is clear: on November 7, McIntyre will be meeting fans at a boxing event in London, not wrestling in Saudi Arabia. After six months away, fans are still waiting to see when the Scottish Warrior finally returns to television.
