Netizens Blast BELIFT LAB After ILLIT's Wonhee and Iroha Injure Ankles During Comeback Week

Netizens are calling out BELIFT LAB after the agency confirmed that ILLIT’s Wonhee and Iroha both sustained ankle injuries during their schedules — with fans demanding the members be given proper rest, especially during comeback week.

The Notice That Sparked the Backlash

On October 29, BELIFT LAB posted a notice on Weverse and social media explaining that both members had recently injured their ankles, were receiving treatment, and were in the process of recovering. The agency said the two would adjust their choreography for that day’s performance at the Yonsei University festival, taking their physical condition and the outdoor stage into account.

While fans were relieved to hear the members would still perform, many found one detail impossible to ignore: both members were injured at the same time — and during one of the most intense periods of the promotional calendar.

“Give Them Proper Rest”

Fan reactions quickly turned from worry to frustration. Many agreed the members needed sufficient rest, while others questioned what was happening in the practice rooms for two members to end up injured at once — and during comeback week of all times.

“BELIFT LAB, what do you have them doing in the practice rooms for both Wonhee and Iroha to have injuries? And during comeback week?” one fan wrote, adding, “Feel better my darlings.” Another pleaded, “How about you give them a proper rest and then they can all promote better,” while others hoped the girls could get “a nice long break” once promotions wrap up, calling them “so overworked.”

A Pattern Fans Won’t Ignore

The anger reflects a wider tension between agencies pushing relentless schedules and fans who want their idols protected. For now, all eyes are on BELIFT LAB’s promise to support the members’ recovery — and on whether the agency will actually give Wonhee and Iroha the rest fans believe they desperately need.
