Kris Statlander joined forces with Jon Moxley at a Warrior Wrestling event on October 30, filling in for Marina Shafir, who was unable to compete. The unlikely tag team took on Lance Archer and ‘Dragon Champ’ Tootie Lynn in Cincinnati, and the one-night pairing gave fans a Death Riders-flavored moment they will not forget.

Kris Statlander Replaces Marina Shafir at Warrior Wrestling
Moxley was originally scheduled to team with Marina Shafir, the woman seemingly next in line for an AEW Women’s World Title shot. But with Shafir unable to compete in Cincinnati, Moxley brought along some backup — and it turned out to be none other than Kris Statlander.
The pairing carried real irony. Last year, while Statlander held the AEW Women’s World Championship, the Death Riders tried to convince her to abandon her tag team partner Harley Cameron and join the faction. Statlander emphatically rejected them, attacking Wheeler Yuta and flipping off Jon Moxley. Now she has joined the faction for one night only.
Death Riders Lariats Reunite in Cincinnati
During the bout, Statlander and Moxley executed the Death Riders’ signature clotheslines in the corner on Archer, a moment that sent the crowd into a frenzy. Clips of the duo hitting the Deathrider lariats together quickly made the rounds on social media, with Warrior Wrestling billing it as “MOXLEY. STATLANDER. ARCHER. DRAGON CHAMP. Let’s goooo!”
The one-night team-up adds another wrinkle to the ongoing Death Riders saga in AEW. On this past Wednesday’s edition of AEW Dynamite, Moxley laid down the challenge to ‘The Cut’ for an Anarchy In The Arena match at AEW Full Gear, keeping the faction war firmly in the spotlight.
Whether Statlander’s one-night alliance with Moxley means anything more in AEW remains to be seen — but for one night in Cincinnati, the Death Riders got their backup anyway.
