Robin Williams’ Kids Revive Instagram to Combat ‘AI Abuse’ of His Image
Robin Williams‘ children revived the late actor’s Instagram account on Monday, sharing their intention to turn it into a “safe, trusted place” where his work can be shared in order to combat the ongoing “rampant AI abuse” of his image.
Zak, Zelda and Cody Williams shared a joint statement on their father’s Instagram account, writing, “As we recognize what would be our Dad’s 75th year, we’re grateful to see new generations discovering his work while longtime fans continue to celebrate the joy he brought into their lives.”
“As technology evolves, we want this to be a safe, trusted place where the stories, photos, videos, and memories shared reflect his legacy with authenticity, warmth, and care,” the statement continued. “This is our way of sharing his unique talent and humor with the world, including the moments that made us and so many of you laugh, as we remember our Dad’s extraordinary life and work. He continues to inspire us and delight people all over the world.”
The account has been inactive since Williams’ death in 2014. However, in a separate Instagram story shared on her personal account, Zelda Williams offered further insight into her and her siblings’ decision to bring their dad’s social media profile back.
“I’m sorry if anyone found Dad’s old page posting again to be triggering. Believe me, I know it’s a little strange,” she wrote. “Making that space into one where people can find authentic clips and photos of him is one of the best ways we’ve now found to fight back against rampant AI abuse of his voice and likeness on here.”
“Might be a drop in the bucket, but we’re trying,” Zelda concluded. “Sending you all a big hug on this random Monday.”
The Internet has been flooded in recent years with AI-generated videos of deceased celebrities, often referred to as “slop,” and Williams has been the star of countless. With that in mind, it is worth noting that her statement Monday is not the first time Zelda has spoken out about AI videos of her father’s image.
In October 2025, she took to Instagram to ask her followers to stop sending her AI videos of her father.
“Stop believing I wanna see it or that I’ll understand, I don’t and I won’t,” Zelda wrote at the time. “If you’ve got any decency, just stop doing this to him and to me, to everyone even, full stop. It’s dumb, it’s a waste of time and energy, and believe me, it’s NOT what he’d want.”

Larry David Recalls ‘Dust-Up’ With Trump Lawyer Alan Dershowitz
Larry David finally expanded on his heated fallout with former friend and Trump lawyer Alan Dershowitz, in part detailing the infamous 2021 argument in Martha’s Vineyard in which he called the litigator “disgusting.”
David explained his thoughts on ending their friendship in a new profile of Dershowitz for The Atlantic, citing when the lawyer joined President Donald Trump’s legal team during his first impeachment trial in 2020. The “Curb Your Enthusiasm” creator and star said Dershowitz made a “deal with the devil” that led to their friendship coming to a close.
“I don’t know why he’s still thinking and talking about me,” David said. “I have lots of confrontations on my show but rarely in life. And then only if I think I can take them in a fight. Hence the Dershowitz dust-up.”
He added: “I’m loath to say anything mean because he’s been so ostracized. But he only has himself to blame. He made a deal with the devil. Literally. And I’d bet the devil hasn’t said a word to him since the impeachment.”
Dershowitz also acknowledged the falling out in his conversation with The Atlantic, saying, “Larry David doesn’t talk to me anymore. He screams and yells at me when he sees me.”
News first broke of the Martha’s Vineyard confrontation in 2022 when Dershowitz spoke to The New Yorker.
“What happened is — it’s interesting because I was having lunch with a very radical lawyer who loves me. I mean, he disagrees with me. We argue all the time … So I was having lunch with him and then a number of other people were there. Suddenly, Larry David walks in to buy some groceries. I say, ‘Hey. Hi, Larry,’ and he turns away, and he just walks away,” he said at the time. “I say, ‘Larry, can’t we at least talk?’ He said, ‘No. You’re disgusting.’”
Dershowitz was further hurt following the death of his son Elon when David chose not to send his condolences. David told The Atlantic that he wishes he had reached out despite them not talking.
“I certainly regret not [reaching out],” David said. “As I said on ‘Curb’ once, ‘I think of nice things. I just don’t act on them.’”

Chris Hansen Questions “Hollywood’s Motive” With A24’s ‘Primetime’
As Chris Hansen gets the A24 treatment with Primetime, he’s keeping an open mind.
The former host of To Catch a Predator recently confirmed he’s “going to see” the Lance Oppenheim-helmed thriller, which stars Robert Pattinson as Hansen, after the film’s team invited him to a private screening.
“We had heard that this was in the works. A couple months ago, they came out and said, ‘Hey, look, we’re doing this. We’d like you to have some sort of consideration in terms of helping us with this.’ I haven’t seen it,” he said on the Serialously podcast. “I’m going to get a private screening in the next week or so and then I’ll be able to tell you whether I like it or don’t like it, and how dramatized it is.”
Hansen added, “My suspicion is that they used my name because it helps in a commercial enterprise. And until I see the full movie, I as a reporter—it’s sort of silly for me to talk about something that I haven’t seen yet. So, I’m going to see it.”
Noting he’s “seen the trailer” for the Ajon Singh-penned film, Hansen said it “looks very dramatic.”
“But again, I’ve been busy being the real Chris Hansen, so I don’t have a lot of time to focus on the fake Chris Hansen,” he said of Pattinson. “I know that he’s a very popular actor. I know that the director is a popular guy, but I also have some questions. What’s Hollywood’s motive here? We don’t know, but I’ll find out and I’ll promise I’ll let you know.”
With Pattinson playing him, Hansen explained he “didn’t get to choose my own guy here,” revealing who he had in mind. “I had discussions years ago—I had crafted a script, and I thought Dennis Leary would be a good guy to play me, depending on the age of it all,” he said.
Premiering Sept. 25 in theaters, Primetime follows Chris Hansen (Pattinson) as he attempts to make television history with NBC’s To Catch a Predator (2004-’07), a hidden camera show that set up stings for adult men seeking sex from minors online.
