Michael Jackson’s ‘Second Family’ Claim He Abused Them in New Lawsuit

Published

on

Just as Michael is opening in theaters nationwide, a family that was very close to the late Michael Jackson now accuses him of sexual abuse in a new lawsuit.

Dominic and Connie Cascio, and their five children, say Jackson abused four of the kids at Neverland Ranch, on trips, and at tour stops.

The family had previously defended the singer against abuse allegations on Oprah Winfrey’s talk show in 2010 and in other outlets. They had long described themselves as the pop idol’s “second family.”

But as reported by The New York Times, the Cascios previously approached the Jackson estate with the allegations years ago. The family and the estate struck a secret agreement whereby the family would be paid around $16 million over the course of five years. When the payments halted in 2025, another round of negotiations fell apart, and now a lawsuit has been filed. Jackson first met Dominic when he was a manager at a posh Manhattan hotel where Jackson frequently stayed.

A lawyer for the estate, Marty Singer, released a statement calling the family’s efforts a “desperate money grab,” and added, “The family staunchly defended Michael Jackson for more than 25 years, attesting to his innocence of inappropriate conduct. This new court filing is a transparent forum-shopping tactic in their scheme to obtain hundreds of millions of dollars from Michael’s estate and companies.”

The family said they were partly motivated by watching HBO’s now-shelved 2019 documentary Leaving Neverland, where Jackson was accused of sexual abuse, noting it helped “deprogram” them and helped them process what happened.

The complaint accuses Jackson of being a “serial child predator who, over the course of more than a decade, drugged, raped and sexually assaulted each of the Plaintiffs, beginning when some of them were as young as seven or eight,” and “groomed and brainwashed” them, giving the family “obsessive attention, lavish gifts, access to his celebrity lifestyle, and declarations that he loved and needed each of them.”

The suit further claims Jackson was “constantly under the influence of drugs and frequently intoxicated,” while also giving the young Plaintiffs “alcohol, marijuana, illegal hard drugs, and prescription drugs, including Xanax, Vicodin and Viagra.” Also, he called wine “Jesus Juice” and hard liquor “Disney Juice.” They claim Jackson had code phrases for abuse sessions that included “Can I have a meeting” and “Go to Disneyland.”

Jackson, the family says, “repeatedly stressed that all of their lives, and Plaintiffs’ family members’ lives, would be destroyed if his sexual activity with them were discovered” and “drilled them on what to say if a police officer or other adult asked whether he was molesting them.” The suit adds that Jackson’s employees, advisors, lawyers, and doctors were “aware of Jackson’s abuse and aided and abetted it, both by facilitating it and concealing it.”

Michael opens this weekend and is projected to set a box office record for a music biopic.

The allegations come on the heels of Leaving Neverland director Dan Reid telling The Hollywood Reporter that the popularity of Michael means “people don’t care that he was a child molester. Literally, people just don’t care … So a lot of people, I think, will kind of swallow any misgivings they may have and just sort of say, ‘Oh well, it’s a great jukebox movie’ and just completely ignore the fact that this guy was worse than Jeffrey Epstein.”

David Ellison Dines With Trump & Xi With WBD-Owned CNN Banned From White House

Published

on

Reporters from CNN aren’t allowed in to the White House’s state dinner for China’s president tonight, but the outlet’s soon-to -be owner will be breaking bread with Xi Jinping and Donald Trump, along with a gaggle of tech bosses.

Striving to get a settlement in his $111 billion merger with Warner Bros Discovery approved by a federal judge, Paramount CEO David Ellison is among the invited guests to the superpower sit-down. A past donor to Democrats, son of Oracle founder and close Trump pal Larry Ellison has become close to the MAGA administration in his pursuit of first Paramount last year and more recently WBD. That closeness to Trump has proven a major concern to opponents of the ParaBros mega-deal, especially when it comes to the now Bari Weiss-run CBS New and, down the line, the Ted Turner created cable newser.

Tech leaning Ellison will be among a band of brothers with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, META’s Mark Zuckerberg, Google co-founder Sergey Brin, TikTok’s Jeff Yass, NVIDIA’s Jensen Huang, and Microsoft’s Satya Nadella in the People’s House. Along with the titans of traditional industry that the ex-Apprentice host loves to surround himself with like Boeing, CEO Kelly Ortberg, JP Morgan’s Jamie Dimon, and Dell’s Michael Dell, Elon Musk, Apple’s ex-CEO Tim Cook, and Amazon founder and Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos will be partaking of the three course meal too.

Chinese officials, White House senior staff, cabinet members, Trump offspring, Congressional GOP leaders and several members of the Supreme Court are there unsurprisingly. Equally unsurprisingly, Fox News‘ Jesse Waters, Laura Ingraham (called an “American television presenter”) and Bret Baier are at the state dinner too with their respective spouses.

Banned from the White House by Trump last week, CNN, MS Now and Politico took the administration to court. Judge Timothy Kelly ordered the outlets be re-credentialled, which they were for a while and then tonight they were not. With Trump TV now launched online, the saga continues.

Enjoy your meal.

Lili Reinhart Says Hollywood Is “Afraid To Make” Her Lesbian Vampire Film

Published

on

As Lili Reinhart celebrates her role in The Love Hypothesis, she’s ready to sink her teeth into another romantic book adaptation.

Without revealing the title, the actress recently teased that she’s trying to adapt a novella “about lesbian vampires” but is having trouble finding a studio that’s willing to take on the source material.

“People are too afraid to make that,” Reinhart told Hits Radio. “So, if you work at a studio and are watching this video, I don’t know why you wouldn’t make that in this day and age. That’s what I’m trying to do.”

Related Stories

Although Reinhart didn’t reveal which novella she’s trying to adapt, some are speculating it to be Irish author Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu’s Carmilla (1872), about a young Austrian woman who is pursued by the eponymous vampire.

The project comes as Reinhert promotes Prime Video’s adaptation of Ali Hazelwood’s The Love Hypothesis, in which professor Dr. Carlsen (Tom Bateman) and PhD student Olive (Reinhart) start a fake relationship to test their theories about love.

Reinhart also serves as an executive producer on the Claire Scanlon-helmed adaptation, which is penned by Sarah Rothschild. She has previously been an EP on her films Chemical Hearts (2020), Look Both Ways (2022) and American Sweatshop (2025).
