Dancing With the Stars Adds Jimmy Kimmel Right-Hand Man Guillermo

Published

on

“Dancing With the Stars” has tapped Jimmy Kimmel’s right-hand man Guillermo Rodriguez to join Season 35 of the ballroom competition series.

His boss announced Rodriguez’s addition to the dance series on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Wednesday. Rodriguez is best known for his antics on show, contributing on the late night program for over 23 years.

His pranks and sketches on the show have gone viral several times — everything from cross-country road trips to the Oscars red carpet. He was discovered in the parking lot, first working as a security guard on the ABC lot, and has since become a core tenant of the weeknight program.

Reality stars Ciara Miller and Maura Higgins were previously announced to be joining the dance competition series in April at Hulu’s Get Real event in Los Angeles. Both women competed on Peacock’s “The Traitors” and Miller just wrapped Season 10 of “Summer House” on Bravo.

The network revealed that Savannah Bananas standout Jackson Olson would also be joining the series at its upfronts presentation in May. The parody baseball team is known for their song and dance performances, and Olson has gone viral as one of the team’s leading internet personalities.

Olson’s casting on “Dancing With the Stars” comes as Disney expands their partnership with the Savannah Bananas as Disney+ becomes the U.S. the home of the Banana Bowl, which is set to stream this October.

The full cast of celebrities and their professional dancer partners will be announced Wednesday, Sept. 2 on Good Morning America.

“Dancing with the Stars” will simulcast live this fall across ABC and Disney+ Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ahead of new episodes of “RJ Decker.” It will stream the next day on Hulu.

Season 34 of “Dancing With the Stars” saw an uptick in viewership, breaking records with the show’s best finale in 10 years. The season also scored 72 million votes for the finale and nearly half a billion votes overall. “Dancing with the Stars” finished Season 34 as the No. 1 entertainment series among adults 18-49 for the second year in a row, per Nielsen.

The ballroom competition series is produced in front of a live audience by BBC Studios.

Published

on

The 2026 Las Culturistas Culture Awards, hosted by Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers, celebrated the best in pop culture.

It was a jam-packed two-hour telecast of the award ceremony in its second year on Bravo.

Yang and Rogers started off the night with a nod to Heated Rivalry, breaking out into song in their hockey gear. Hunting Wives stars Brittany Snow and Malin Akerman also joined the duo to sing Tatu’s “All the Things She Said,” which was needle dropped in the Canadian series.

In their opening monologue, Yang and Rogers mentioned the Summer House scandal, which rocked the Bravoverse. Later that night, Ciara Miller won the Allison Williams Cool Girl Award and delivered a speech that resonated with fans.

“Thank you so much. If by ‘cool’ you mean, ‘Utterly disappointed by everybody around me,’ yes, I am so f**king cool,” she said. “Obviously, this year has been a little rough, but you know what they say – the best revenge is winning the Allison Williams Cool Girl Award.”

She added, “And booking Love Island USA. And being in Shaboozey’s music video. And also being a registered nurse. And a model. So I’m going to put this in the bathroom of my new house.”

Will Ferrell was honored with the Titan of Culture award and gave audiences advice to “be proud of yourself,” adding, “I think we should all celebrate our pride.”

“I have pride about being an actor and a filmmaker, but I also have pride about being a husband to a wife,” the SNL alum said. “I guess what I’m saying is, I’m proud to be straight. God, it feels good to finally say that.”

Ferrell continued his funny bit, saying, “The second, more important thing after pride is to be happy, be joyful, be gay. Have gay pride! Starting this month, I hereby declare June — Pride Month!”

Lisa Kudrow received the Lifetime of Culture honor, with Ben Platt taking the stage for a rendition of “Smelly Cat,” the song Kudrow’s Phoebe Buffay sang on Friends.

“Thank you so much. Winning this Lifetime Culture award is everything to me,” Kudrow said after receiving her trophy from her The Comeback co-star Malin Akerman. “I know what got me here tonight, it’s a career of meticulous planning to impress Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang.”

Kudrow joked that it was Romy & Michele that “was going to be enough” to impress Rogers and Yang “when they were in grade school.”

“When I auditioned for Friends in 1994, I thought, ‘This is the show I should do cause you know who’s going to love it? Four-year-old Matt and not-yet-born Bown!’ Kudrow said, eliciting laughs from the audience. “All culminating in, not a coincidence, the third season of The Comeback. I knew Matt and Bowen would have to give me this award this year. So, thank you, gentleman, for playing right into my hands. And a bigger thanks to me, Lisa, for having my priorities straight.”

Stephen Baldwin Recalls Being Fired From a Jennifer Aniston Rom-Com

Published

on

Stephen Baldwin claimed he was “castrated comedically” before being let go from the Jennifer Aniston-led rom-com “The Object of My Affection.”

The actor, who was originally cast as Aniston’s boyfriend Vince McBride in the 20th Century Studios film, before being replaced by John Pankow, recalled his exit from the rom-com during a recent episode of his “One Bad Movie” podcast.

“I was doing a movie with Jenny Aniston back in the day … It was when I was really young, coming up. I had been doing a few things. Before ‘Usual Suspects’ and all that bulls–t,” Baldwin told his guest T.J. Miller. “‘The Object of My Affection.’ I went in and I auditioned to play like the sidekick, kind of almost boyfriend of Jennifer Aniston.”

He continued: “And I’ve never told this story before. So, I get there and I’m me and Jennifer’s cute and whatever and I got a girl and I’m good. So, I’m just there to be me. But after like, I think it was the second day of shooting, after lunch, this producer comes to my trailer and goes, ‘There’s a problem.’ I go, ‘What’s up?’ He goes, ‘You can’t be funnier than Jennifer.’”

Per Baldwin, he was surprised by the feedback and even pushed back on the directive.

“I go, ‘Is this a joke?’” he remembered saying at the time. “It’s comedy movie. Like, I don’t know. Am I about to get punk’d? Like, what do you even mean by that?”

After Miller defended Aniston as “really funny,” having co-starred with the “Friends” actress in 2016’s “Office Christmas Party,” Baldwin explained he wasn’t sharing this tidbit to “shred anybody.”

“This is just to simply say Hollywood’s Hollywood,” Baldwin continued. “This happened to me on [‘Casualties of War’]. I got fired … Same thing. I’ve created a character and they went, ‘It’s not working. Here’s your money. Go home.’”

While Baldwin noted this was a “similar” experience, he noted that being told “there’s a problem” and to “just say the words” threw him for a loop.

“‘And I’m now like, you’ve just mauled my face like a f–king wolverine,” he said. “And I’m going, ‘You’re asking me to like, just numb myself.’”

“So I go back to the set after lunch, right? Castrated comedically, right?” Baldwin went on. “I was wondering was it really about my good looks? Was I fat? Well, you know, I was freaking out. So, I get back in there and I try not to be me.”

Yet, as Baldwin remembered it, he struggled to understand the feedback and was ultimately let go.

“They let me go. They told me I could go home,” he said. “And that was all cool, but that’s just awkward.”

Watch Baldwin and Miller’s conversation above. A representative for Aniston did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.
