Jon Stewart tore into Donald Trump after he crashed Spain’s World Cup celebration, slamming the president for having an “overinflated ego.”

During Monday’s monologue for “The Daily Show,” Stewart addressed Sunday’s FIFA World Cup final match, which saw Spain triumph over Argentina with a score of 1-0.

“By the way, congrats to World Cup champions, Spain, España, clearly the best team in this year’s tournament,” Stewart said. “And they celebrated receiving the World Cup trophy with a trophy hoist, which is traditionally, it’s a moment that is shared really only by the players. A special moment that is only for the players.”

As footage from the celebration rolled, Trump was spotted lingering on the stage after handing off the World Cup trophy to Team Spain.

“What the f–k are you doing on the stage? It’s for the players. God damn,” Stewart erupted. “Why must everything be tainted by the overinflated ego of Cankles Muldoon? Why?! Why??”

Stewart then took a moment to roast Trump’s remarks following the match, sarcastically dubbing it as “really insightful post-game analysis.” Namely, Stewart got a kick out of Trump claiming the event was “four times greater than any FIFA ever held.”

“What’s a FIFA? How do you hold a FIFA? How could our FIFA be four times greater than any other FIFA?” he quipped.

News footage then showed Trump doubling down on the claim, adding that this “FIFA” (which stands for Fédération Internationale de Football Association and translates to International Federation of Association Football) was “probably about five times” better. To which Stewart replied: “Is that what they told you? You know, they’re telling you that because everyone around you lies to you, because you’re a little baby.”

Though, it wasn’t just Trump who faced some ribbing from Stewart, as the late night personality also took aim at the World Cup halftime show.

“The Spain-Argentina final was like a reverse Super Bowl, where the players spoke Spanish and the halftime show was in English,” he joked. “They had Madonna and Justin Bieber and, for some reason, the Muppets. Holy s–t, is that The Count?”

“You got all the Muppets to choose from, why in God’s name would you make the vampire work during the day?” he continued. “Not only is it the bright glare of the afternoon sun, but for most of the game the score was 0-0. You’re taunting this poor bastard. ‘I sat in traffic for one, two, three hours for this? I’m burning alive.’”

Sadie Sink‘s role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day remains a mystery ahead of the film’s premiere.

A new video teased Sink revealing three things about her character in the Sony Pictures production, but left audiences with the same doubts.

“Since the trailer dropped, I’ve seen so many theories about who I’m playing,” Sink said in the Instagram clip. “To match your incredible energy, I’ve decided to give you three exclusive, confirmed answers right now.”

Starting off the video, Sink said, “I can confirm I am not Spider-Man.”

She continued to joke and said, “I am not Aunt May,” the character that Marisa Tomei played and died in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home.

“And third, I can definitely confirm that I am in this movie,” she added. “As for who I really am, you’ll have to find out in the theater.”

The Instagram caption for the post read, “We can confirm…she’s in this movie.”

In a recent interview, Sink opened up about the positive experience she had working with Tom Holland in the superhero film.

“It was interesting stepping into that space and being a little bit of an outsider in that way, but he could not have been more welcoming, and just the whole crew in general,” she told Nylon in an interview. “He was just so relaxed and open, and I felt very at ease.”

The logline for Spider-Man: Brand New Day reads, “It’s a brand new day for Peter Parker. Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn’t remember him—and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him—sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control. But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves – a powerful villain no one can even see. The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them.”

Sink will star in the film alongside Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jon Bernthal, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Mark Ruffalo.

John Kirby, a renowned acting coach and member of the famed Kirby family, died Wednesday after a multi-year battle with ALS. He was 75.

Nathan Nesbitt, a longtime employee of Kirby’s, confirmed the news of his passing, sharing that a celebration of life would be held on Aug.5 at 1 p.m. PT at the Hall of Liberty Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles, Calif. 

Kirby, who was the son of “Columbo” star Bruce Kirby and brother of “The Godfather” and “When Harry Met Sally” actor Bruno Kirby, was known throughout the industry as “An Actor’s Guardian Angel,” given his role a prominent acting coach. He has been described as “a gifted mentor whose insight, compassion and extraordinary understanding of the human experience helped shape generations of performers.”

While Kirby started out as an actor at a young age, he went on to have a five-decade career as an acting coach, working with a number of celebrities – including Jeff Bridges, Jim Caviezel, Cameron Diaz, Chrissy Metz, Morris Chestnut, Judith Light and more.

Metz, an alum of “This Is Us,” penned a tribute to Kirby on Instagram Saturday, writing, “My John. My mentor. My friend. My cheerleader when there was no chance of winning, my sounding board free of judgment, full of encouragement, and always from a deep place of love. I will never be able to thank you enough for believing in me.”

“I will never get over your innate sense of intuition, every single time,” she continued. “In your suffering, you remained a brilliant and selfless teacher who will continue to bring people together. Your legacy will live on in every one of us, always.”

Kirby notably coached on location for several high profile films and TV shows, including “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,” “Stick It,” “Peter Pan” and “Scream 4.”

“I can’t turn on a television or watch a film without recognizing someone John coached, mentored or influenced,” Nesbitt said in a statement. “His fingerprints are everywhere in this industry. His impact extends far beyond the performances we see on screen—it’s woven into the very fabric of Hollywood.”
