‘Hone Dragon no Mana Musume’ Reveals Main Cast, First Promo, 2027 Debut

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Ichi Yukishiro‘s Hone Dragon no Mana Musume (The Skull Dragon’s Precious Daughter) web manga revealed the main cast, a key visual (pictured), and the first promotional video on Thursday. The anime series will premiere in 2027.

Voice actors Kana Hanazawa (Angel Beats!) and Kazuhiko Inoue (Natsume Yuujinchou) are starring as Eve and Nemu, respectively.

Kuniyasu Nishina (Isekai Ojisan episode director) is helming the anime at Doga Kobo, with Yuka Yamada (Hoshifuru Oukoku no Nina) handling the series composition. Tomoya Atsumi (Tokidoki Bosotto Russia-go de Dereru Tonari no Alya-san animation director) is designing the characters. Daiki Kuribayashi (Shoukoku no Altair) and Yuuki Hatakeyama (Summertime Render) are in charge of background art.

Yukishiro originally began serializing the slice of life fantasy series on the MAGCOMI web service in September 2020, it was later being transferred to Comic Garden in January 2022. Mag Garden published the sixth volume in August 2025.

J-Novel Club licensed the series in English digitally in May 2022. Media Do licensed the series in print in October 2022. The sixth digital volume went on sale on April 29, with the physical edition scheduled for a December 1 release.

Hone Dragon no Mana Musume was nominated in the web category at the 2021 Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Awards.

The official website for the anime of Dr.Poro and Nabana Naba‘s The Vermillion Mask (Shuiro no Kamen) manga announced on Thursday that the anime’s second part will debut in April 2027 on the Yomiuri TV and NTV channels, and will air every Saturday at 5:30 p.m. JST.

Yomiuri TV describes the anime:

At the center of the story is Peru, a young apprentice mask maker who loses control under the influence of a cursed mask, slaying both his master and comrades in a tragic outburst. Wracked with guilt, Peru sets off on a journey to destroy the legendary masks his master once crafted, crossing paths with unlikely allies and deadly foes. What unfolds is a gripping battle for redemption, as both the fate of Peru’s soul and the world itself hang in the balance.

The anime will premiere on October 10 on Yomiuri TV and NTV at 5:30 p.m. JST, and it will have two parts or cours (quarters of a year). Crunchyroll will stream the anime as it airs.

The anime stars:

T.N.T rock band’s vocalist Yuya Tegoshi will also voice a character in the anime’s 12th episode. (That episode will be the final episode of the anime’s first part.)

Tetsuaki Watanabe (BLUELOCK season 1) is directing the anime at 100Studio (WOW Studio). Gai Hazako is the assistant director. Daisuke Ōhigashi (Fate/strange Fake) is in charge of series composition. Hisashi Higashijima (Mashle: Magic and Muscles) is drawing the character designs. Fumiyuki Go is the sound director. Arisa Okehazama (The Apothecary Diaries) is composing the music.

MAN WITH A MISSION performs the opening theme song “Firestarter,” and yutori performs the ending theme song “Koe.”

Dr.Poro and Naba launched the manga in Shōnengahōsha‘s Young King Ours magazine in February 2021. Shōnengahōsha will publish the manga’s 10th compiled book volume on November 30.

Orange’s emaqi e-bookstore platform publishes the manga in English.

Kadokawa revealed the first main promotional video, main visual, main cast members, and 2027 debut for the television anime of Ichi Yukishiro‘s Skull Dragon’s Precious Daughter (Hone Dragon no Manamusume) manga, on Thursday.

J-Novel Club releases the manga digitally, and Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the manga in print. J-Novel Club describes the story:

In the Forest of Scraps, a place where all manner of things are discarded, an old dragon sleeps away his final days—that is, until an abandoned child suddenly appears before him. The tiny human is Eve, and despite being only five years of age, she has somehow endured the many dangers that surround them. In an act of pity, the dragon decides to raise her as his own…but his time is still running out.

After five years together, he takes his last breath, leaving his precious daughter on her own. Little does the dragon know, Eve is capable of more than he realizes, and their reunion may be sooner than he thinks…

Hoping to improve Eve’s control over her magical abilities before his resurrected body gives out, the skull dragon sets out on an adventure with his reckless human daughter—but who knows what kind of trouble awaits them?

Kuniyasu Nishina (Oshi no Ko, Blue Period, 86 episode director) is directing the anime at Dōga Kōbō. Yuka Yamada (Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S, Nina the Starry Bride, Tokyo Mew Mew New) is in charge of the series scripts, and Tomoya Atsumi (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, The Quintessential Quintuplets episode key animator) is designing the characters. Kusanagi‘s Daiki Kuribayashi (7th Time Loop: The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life, Dragon Ball Super: Broly film) and Yūki Hatakeyama (Black Butler: Emerald Witch Arc, One Piece Film Gold) are in charge of background art.

Yukishiro launched the manga on Mag Garden‘s Mag Comi website in 2020. Mag Garden published the manga’s sixth compiled book volume in August 2025. Seven Seas will publish the sixth volume in English on December 1. The manga went on hiatus in July and will return in spring next year.

The official website for the television anime of Midori Satō‘s Horror Collector (Kyōfu Collector) novel series revealed three new cast members for the anime on Thursday. The new cast members include:

The anime will debut on NHK on October 10. Crunchyroll will stream the anime as it airs in Japan.

Yuki Inaba (KamiKatsu: Working for God in a Godless World, Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World season 2) is directing the anime at Studio Palette, and is also in charge of series composition. Kaori Yoshikawa (KamiKatsu: Working for God in a Godless World, Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World season 2) is designing the characters. Masato Kōda is composing the music. Tetsuya Gunji is the audio director.

Yen Press is releasing the novel series and Niko Yuki‘s manga adaptation in English for its “JY for Kids” middle-grade imprint, and it describes the story:

The internet is full of creepypastas, cryptid sightings, tales of paranormal activity, and unsolved disappearances. These are mostly rumors and pranks fueled by trolls—entertainment. But the unlucky few learn the hard way that some legends are true. Many of these unfortunate souls are doomed, but their luck may change if they cross paths with the boy in the red hood. He roams from town to town and appears wherever strange things occur. Is he a light in the dark? Or living proof that monsters are all too real…?

Sato writes the novels, Norio Tsuruta is the supervisor, and Yon draws the art for the novel series. Kadokawa started releasing the novel series in June 2015, and published the 29th volume on Wednesday.

Yuki’s manga adaptation ran in Kadokawa‘s Monthly Comic Gene magazine in 2021-2022. Kadokawa published the manga adaptation in one volume in March 2022.

Yen Press published the sixth novel volume in May 2025, and published the manga in one volume in May 2025.
