Ospreay and Andrade Face Joe and Ciampa in Star-Studded Tag Match
The championship picture dominates the evening as AEW World Champion Will Ospreay teams with National Champion Andrade El Idolo to battle Samoa Joe and Tommaso Ciampa. Ospreay is only days away from defending his world title at WrestleDream, so surviving tonight without giving his rivals any extra confidence matters. Joe and Ciampa, meanwhile, have the rare opportunity to pin two reigning champions in a single match.
The pairing is fascinating on paper. Ospreay has carried the company’s top prize with a string of show-stealing performances, while Andrade’s National Championship run has added another layer of prestige to his act. Across the ring, Joe brings veteran menace and Ciampa brings ruthless intensity, making this far more than a routine tune-up match.
Two Title Matches Double as Clockwork Carnage Qualifiers
TNT Champion Darby Allin has double trouble in his title defense against CMLL World Champion Hechicero. The championship is on the line, but the winner also punches a ticket into the Clockwork Carnage match at WrestleDream. Allin could walk out still holding his title with an even bigger opportunity waiting for him, while Hechicero could take both prizes away in one night.
International Champion Kazuchika Okada faces the same high-stakes math against Myron Reed. Reed has everything to gain: beating Okada would hand him the International Championship and send him straight into one of WrestleDream’s biggest matches. Okada has survived countless big-match situations, but protecting two prizes in a single bout is a new kind of pressure.
The qualifier series runs throughout the night, with Adam Copeland vs. Josh Alexander, Ricochet vs. Ace Austin, and Konosuke Takeshita vs. Brian Cage all fighting for their own spots in the chaotic WrestleDream spectacle.
Mone and Thekla Collide Before WrestleDream Showdown
Mercedes Mone does not have to wait until the pay-per-view to get her hands on her challenger. Before defending the AEW Women’s World Championship against Thekla at WrestleDream, the two stand on opposite sides of a six-woman tag tonight. Mone teams with Divine Dominion’s Megan Bayne and Lena Kross, while Thekla brings Julia Hart and Skye Blue into battle. Expect the mind games to start long before the opening bell.
Also on the card, Jon Moxley, Gabe Kidd and Daniel Garcia face Wardlow, Mark Davis and Jake Doyle in a heavyweight trios clash, while Britt Baker and TBS Champion Persephone join forces against Dani Luna and Hyan.
AEW Dynamite airs tonight at 8 PM ET on TBS and streams live on MAX, coming to you from the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Expect a few more surprises before the road to WrestleDream is complete.
