The very nice, very evil Danhausen is heading to NXT Halloween Havoc — not as a competitor, but as the host of the October 31, 2026 premium live event, in one of the most delightfully strange announcements of the year.

The reveal came during the final segment of the October 13 episode of NXT on The CW. Brand General Manager Robert Stone walked into his office to find a note on his desk instructing him to make whoever wrote it the host of Halloween Havoc — or be cursed. Moments later, Danhausen’s signature eerie sounds filled the arena, and the implication was clear.
Stone himself leaned into the chaos online, joking that he was not looking to get cursed. Confirmation arrived when Shawn Michaels shared the official Halloween Havoc poster featuring Danhausen as host, making it official.
When and Where to Watch
NXT Halloween Havoc takes place on Saturday, October 31 at 7 PM ET / 4 PM PT, airing on The CW in the United States and on Netflix internationally. Few hosts fit the spooky-season spectacle better than Danhausen, whose whole persona feels tailor-made for the event.
The Match Card So Far
Two championship bouts have been announced for the show. Kelani Jordan defends the NXT Women’s Championship against Wren Sinclair, while Grayson Waller puts the NXT Championship on the line against Tony D’Angelo. With Danhausen now steering the ship as host, expect the usual blend of in-ring action and off-the-wall Halloween Havoc theatrics.
On the main roster, Danhausen has recently been a thorn in GUNTHER’s side on SmackDown, following the Ring General around until GUNTHER finally put his hands on him out of sheer annoyance. Whether that storyline intersects with his new hosting gig remains to be seen — but with Danhausen involved, nothing is ever quite that simple.
Halloween Havoc has a rich history as WWE’s spookiest annual spectacle, dating back to its WCW origins, and the hosting role has often gone to personalities who can lean into the theatrical side of the show. Danhausen might be the most natural fit the gig has ever had. His entire persona — the jarred teeth, the curses, the delightfully unhinged promos — feels like it was conjured specifically for an October premium live event.
Fans should expect the unexpected on October 31. Whether that means cursed championship matches, haunted backstage segments or Robert Stone spending the entire night looking over his shoulder, Danhausen as host guarantees Halloween Havoc 2026 will be anything but ordinary.
