AEW WrestleDream 2026 is in the books, and the bookmakers had an almost perfect night. Before the show on October 17, BetOnline.ag released betting odds for 10 matches — and the oddsmakers correctly picked nearly every winner. But the biggest payday came from the one match they got wrong.

Of the matches with a clear favorite, eight of nine went to the expected winner — an 88.9% success rate for the oddsmakers. Every favorite listed at -500 or shorter delivered: The Young Bucks, Jon Moxley, Will Ospreay, Mercedes Moné, Persephone, and Divine Dominion all held serve.
The One Match They Got Wrong
The lone upset — and the biggest windfall of the night — came in the AEW World Trios Championship match. Adam Page and Brodido (Brody King & Bandido) entered as +250 underdogs against Swerve Strickland and The New Level, the -400 favorites. The underdogs walked out with the titles, meaning a $100 bet paid out $350, including $250 in pure profit.
When Favorites Barely Pay
For bettors who backed the heavy favorites, winning didn’t mean winning big. The Young Bucks were massive -5000 favorites and retained their AEW World Tag Team Championships — but a $100 bet would have returned a grand total of $2 in profit. Jon Moxley’s -3000 odds meant $3.33 in profit, Will Ospreay’s -2000 earned $5, and Mercedes Moné’s -1500 win over Thekla paid $6.67.
Other results: Andrade El Idolo (-200) paid $50 profit, Motor City Machine Guns (-135) paid $74.07, Nick Wayne’s win over Chris Jericho — a pick’em at -120 each, so no true upset — paid $83.33, and Divine Dominion (-900) returned $11.11.
The lesson from WrestleDream: the bookmakers knew the card almost perfectly, but the only money worth making was on the one team brave enough to defy them.
