ENA’s “Between Steps” just dropped new still cuts of Kim So Hyun and Choo Young Woo, and the pair’s sizzling chemistry is already the talk of K-drama land. The photos capture the co-stars in moments that are sweet, tender, and just a little bit steamy.
Kiss in a Dark Alleyway
The newly released stills show Park Min Jae (Choo Young Woo) and Im Yoo Jin (Kim So Hyun) sharing a kiss in a dark alleyway at night. The moody, intimate shot hints that their slow-burn romance is about to shift into high gear in the drama’s latest episodes.
Another adorable photo shows Park Min Jae wearing a puppy-ear headband – something the normally stoic character would never agree to. That he goes along with it willingly for Im Yoo Jin’s sake says everything about how much she means to him, while her fond smile as she gazes at him betrays her own deepening feelings.
A Romance by the Late Ahn Pan Seok
“Between Steps” is a romance drama by the late director Ahn Pan Seok, who helmed beloved hits like “Something in the Rain,” “One Spring Night,” and “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon.” The series follows Park Min Jae, a former swimmer who lost his right leg due to illness, and Im Yoo Jin, a graduate student finding a new path after losing her way.
The drama’s production team teased what’s next: “The journey of these young people, each struggling with their own yearnings, helping one another grow will begin to unfold in earnest. Please keep an eye on what kinds of choices will be made by the two people facing their own wounds, along with what sorts of changes they will undergo.”
“Between Steps” airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m. KST on ENA.
