Is romance finally blossoming between Kim You Jung and Park Jinyoung on tvN’s period spy romance “100 Days of Deception”? New stills from the upcoming fourth episode tease a tense and heart-fluttering moment between the two leads, with Jinyoung’s character caring for an injured You Jung’s character after a dangerous encounter.

Kim You Jung Is Injured, Park Jinyoung Comes to Her Rescue
Set during the Japanese occupation of Korea, “100 Days of Deception” stars Kim You Jung as Lee Ga Kyeong, a pickpocket who becomes an undercover spy for the independence movement and infiltrates the Japanese Government-General of Korea. There she becomes entangled with interpreter Kim Tae Woong (GOT7’s Park Jinyoung), who also goes by the name Sato Hideo and is the adopted son of the Inspector-General of Korea.
In the previous episode, Lee Ga Kyeong accepted Yoo So Ran’s (Kim Hyun Joo) offer to become a spy for Gugukdan. After securing a job at the Government-General under the false identity of Geum Seo Hee, she crossed paths with Sato Hideo once again — but the episode ended on a cliffhanger, with a mystery man accusing her of being a spy before abducting her.
The newly released stills show the fallout from that abduction. Lee Ga Kyeong is trapped in an unknown space after being attacked by the mystery assailant, with a gun pointed directly at her. Her bloodied lip and the beads of sweat on her forehead make it clear she is in grave danger.
A Quiet Moment of Care at the Medicine Clinic
Later stills shift to a much softer scene: Lee Ga Kyeong alone with Sato Hideo at a traditional Korean medicine clinic. There, he kneels to bandage her injured ankle without a moment’s hesitation. As the two deliberately avoid one another’s gaze, the tension between them is palpable — the classic setup of a slow-burn romance hiding inside a spy thriller.
The drama’s production team teased that as Lee Ga Kyeong’s activities as a spy begin in earnest, “the story will deliver the suspense of the spy genre while also making viewers’ hearts flutter through its romance,” promising that each new episode will unfold in an even more unpredictable whirlwind, with the emotional changes of the characters around Lee Ga Kyeong gradually revealed.
When Does Episode 4 Air?
The fourth episode of “100 Days of Deception” will air on October 18 at 9:10 p.m. KST. With Ga Kyeong’s cover already threatened after just one day on the job and her reluctant rescuer clearly developing feelings, the spy game is only getting more dangerous — and more romantic.
