AEW President Tony Khan has given a major update on former Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm, who has been off AEW programming since she was found unconscious on a March 2026 episode of Dynamite. Speaking at the WrestleDream post-event media scrum, Khan made one thing clear: Storm will be back, and she will be looking for payback.

Tony Khan: “She Will Be Back in AEW”
When asked about Storm during the WrestleDream media scrum, Khan acknowledged how much she has been missed — but praised the women’s locker room for stepping up in her absence, singling out the current division led by Mercedes Moné.
“You asked about the former World Champion ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm. Well, I know we’ve been missing ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm but everybody’s just been doing absolutely fantastic. The women’s wrestling in AEW has seen the locker room absolutely step up in the absence of the former World Champion, now in Mercedes Moné,” Khan said. “The former World Champion ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm is certainly on a lot of our minds and I can’t say when or where but I know ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm will be back in AEW and looking to get payback for whoever it was that took her out.”
Storm’s Mysterious Absence
Storm’s last appearance on AEW television ended in mystery: she was found unconscious, and the attacker responsible was never revealed on screen. The angle has left one of AEW’s most beloved characters on the shelf for over seven months, with fans eagerly speculating about both the culprit and the timing of her return.
Back in March, Fightful Select reported that AEW was not expecting Storm to wrestle for the remainder of 2026, which made Khan’s emphatic promise of a return — with revenge on the agenda — all the more notable. Whether the reveal of her attacker becomes a centerpiece of AEW’s next act remains to be seen, but the “Timeless” era is clearly not over.
