Romance K-drama fans have a new teaser to obsess over: “What a Boss Wants” has dropped a fresh preview, and Sung Hoon is on a mission to uncover the secrets of Oh Se Young.
Based on a popular web novel, the drama follows Kwon Do Hyuk (Sung Hoon), a chaebol boss with one unusual problem — he has no sense of taste. His life changes course when he sets out to find the woman whose voice he heard on an album, leading him to Lee Eun Chae (Oh Se Young), the lead vocalist of an indie band who becomes the one unpredictable variable in his otherwise perfect life.
A Boss, an AI Celebrity, and a Hidden Identity
The newly released teaser opens with Kwon Do Hyuk declaring, “I’ll have to create one myself. A celebrity who doesn’t cause trouble,” teasing his work with AI-generated entertainment. The twist comes when he discovers the band member Soo (Oh Se Young) on an India Red album cover and is stunned to realize that what he created may actually exist.
Intrigued, he personally attends one of her performances and sets out to meet her face to face. What follows is a string of unconventional first meetings — from sitting across from each other in an interview to a series of coincidental run-ins — that spark an unexpected romance.
The Red Dress Secret
The teaser saves its best twist for last. When Kwon Do Hyuk catches a glimpse of a red dress in Lee Eun Chae’s bag, he begins to suspect she may be hiding her true identity. Whether she is the voice he has been chasing all along is the mystery driving the show’s early episodes.
“What a Boss Wants” is set to premiere on November 11 at 10:20 p.m. KST, putting it squarely in the competitive November romance lineup. With Sung Hoon leading a chaebol-meets-indie-band love story, this one is already shaping up to be a must-watch for K-drama fans.
