Netflix has officially confirmed that “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call” will return for Seasons 2 and 3, with Ju Ji Hoon, Choo Young Woo, Yoon Kyung Ho, Jeong Jae Kwang, and Jeong Yein all set to star. The streamer announced on October 19 that both seasons have been simultaneously greenlit for production.

The hit medical drama follows genius trauma surgeon Baek Kang Hyuk as he fights to revive a struggling Severe Trauma Care team. Released last year, the series became one of Netflix’s standout Korean titles — and fans have been demanding more ever since.
Who’s Returning
Ju Ji Hoon reprises his role as Baek Kang Hyuk, the brilliant surgeon who stops at nothing to save his patients. Choo Young Woo returns as Yang Jae Won, Baek’s protégé who follows in his mentor’s footsteps.
Yoon Kyung Ho is back as Han Yu Rim, the chief of planning and coordination at Hankuk National University Hospital, while Jeong Jae Kwang reprises his role as anesthesiologist Park Gyeong Won.
The biggest casting shift involves veteran nurse Cheon Jang Mi. Jeong Yein will take over the role after Ha Young voluntarily stepped down from the series amid controversy over her family history.
New Creative Team
Season 2 will be directed and written by Lee Do Yoon, while Season 3 will also be directed by Lee Do Yoon with new writer Tomasi joining to contribute to the script. The simultaneous two-season order signals Netflix’s strong confidence in the franchise.
With Baek Kang Hyuk’s team reassembled and a new nurse joining the ward, Seasons 2 and 3 promise higher-stakes emergencies, deeper character arcs, and the same breakneck energy that made the first season a global hit.
No release dates have been announced yet, but with production confirmed for both seasons at once, fans may not have to wait long between chapters.
