Joining the trio will be the show’s co-creator and executive producer Jonathan E. Steinberg and executive producer Dan Shotz for a dedicated panel presentation, as Disney puts its fantasy flagship front and center at Europe’s biggest pop culture event.
A Festival Like No Other
Lucca Comics and Games runs from October 28 to November 1 and draws more than 200,000 fans every year inside the medieval walls of the Tuscan town of Lucca. According to the festival’s film and TV chief, the cast is traveling there to “get up close and personal with their fans” — and there are few better places, with Lucca in recent years reaching a level of relevance for Hollywood and the Asian industry that is second to none.
Season 3 Adapts “The Titan’s Curse”
The third season adapts Rick Riordan’s third novel, “The Titan’s Curse,” — the first book in the saga to reach the screen for the first time, since the earlier books were adapted into films in 2010 and 2013. The story follows Percy, Annabeth and Grover as they race to rescue Annabeth Chase and the goddess Artemis from the Titan Atlas.
Season 3 introduces major new faces: Dafne Keen as Artemis, Holt McCallany as Atlas, Kate McKinnon as Aphrodite, and Saara Chaudry as Zoë Nightshade. It also marks the screen debut of the beloved di Angelo siblings, Nico and Bianca, played by Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie. A first teaser, screened at San Diego Comic-Con, showed Percy taking on the Titan’s curse itself — holding up the weight of the sky.
