FuRyu has pulled back the curtain on the battles of CRYMELIGHT, the newest entry in its dark “bishōjo action” CRY series, with a brand-new gameplay trailer that dropped on October 21. The video finally gives fans a look at the roguelike combat waiting for them when the game launches on November 5.

Alongside the trailer, FuRyu launched a playable demo for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam, so curious players can jump in right away and try the combat for themselves before launch day arrives.
A New Chapter in the CRY Series
CRYMELIGHT is the latest installment in the CRY series, which includes 2019’s CRYSTAR and 2023’s CRYMACHINA. Following the events of those games, CRYMELIGHT follows a young girl known only as Alice, who wakes up with no memory of her past. Her journey takes her to the lowest layer of Purgatory, where she must earn her “Rebirth.”
Setting out from the Tea Party Hall, Alice must defeat enemies born from the depths of madness and confront the sins she has committed, growing emotionally along the way. The game takes place across two realms: Wonderland, a prison where the souls of the dead are held captive, and The Tea Party, a sanctuary offering respite to young girls burdened by their sins.
Staff, Music, and Deluxe Edition Details
Returning staff from previous entries include plot and story supervisor Naoki Hisaya, composer Sakuzyo, and animator RIRI Yamashita, with YOGISYA handling character designs. Hitomi Sekine performs the game’s theme song “Love and Guilt” as her character Mary.
FuRyu is also offering a deluxe edition packed with six DLC items, a digital artbook, and a digital album featuring 11 soundtrack songs plus three voice drama tracks — plenty for diehard fans of the series.
