It feels like every week, someone new from the wrestling world steps up to sing Lee Moriarty’s praises — and this time it’s his own stablemate doing the honors. In a new interview with Wrestling Republic, Carlie Bravo of Shane Taylor Promotions declared that “Taigastyle” is one of the best wrestlers on planet Earth.

“He’s So Good”
Bravo didn’t hold back in his admiration for his STP partner and the self-proclaimed longest-reigning champion of their crew. “To see it up close is even scarier. Taigastyle, longest reigning as we always say. He’s special,” Bravo said.
And coming from Bravo, the compliment carries extra weight — because he’s not exactly lacking in self-confidence. “My ego is out of control, right? I say that to say I really think I’m one of the nicest in the game, whether it’s been seen or not. I’m crazy in the ring. I’m a Harlem Globetrotter. I’m an A1 mixtape in that ring,” he admitted. “But, saying that and then being able to be humbled by somebody in my crew who is so good. He is so good.”
Bravo revealed the two train together regularly, and Moriarty still manages to surprise him. “He be doing things in the ring when we practice with each other. We always practice together, we always train together, stuff like that. Just when I think I’m about to go in there and run the water with this man, he does some shit I ain’t never seen before. He’s just such a wealth of knowledge.”
The Denzel Washington of Wrestling
Bravo’s praise went far beyond the ring, painting Moriarty as the total package. “Taigastyle to me is one of the best wrestlers on planet freaking earth, without a question. Bell to bell, in the ring. He’s such a good dude, he’s like Denzel Washington in 1992. You can’t help but love him, you know what I mean? He dress cool, he look cool, he’s artistic. He’s doing the painting, he got a pretty girlfriend, he’s loyal. I want him to date my sister, he’s just perfect. He’s the man.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Bravo also defended Ring Of Honor from online criticism — a topic he’s never been shy about, given his home in the promotion.
Whether or not you agree that Moriarty is the best on the planet, one thing is clear: the respect he’s earned from his peers is very, very real.
