Wavve has locked in a November 6 premiere date for its new original drama “Next Seat, Francesca” — a teen romance spin-off of the hit 2005 MBC sitcom “Hello, Francesca,” starring Kim Hyun Jin and Han Su A as a model class president and the vampire transfer student who turns his life upside down.

A vampire hiding in high school
The four-episode series keeps the original’s beloved premise — vampires living secretly among humans — but moves it to a high school. Han Su A plays Pi Na Young, a vampire who transfers in from Romania and struggles to pass as an ordinary student (her Korean name is even a playful pun on the word for “bleeding”). Kim Hyun Jin is Jang Woo Joo, the exemplary class president with dreams of medical school, who gets tasked by his homeroom teacher with helping her settle in.
The new poster leans into the secrecy: Na Young presses a finger to her lips against a moody purple backdrop, with the tagline “A vampire disguised as an ordinary human appears at school.”
Forbidden romance brewing
The first teaser teases a slow-burn connection between the two — despite a warning from fellow vampire Yoo Hyeol (Lee Seung Gyu): “Don’t get too deeply involved with humans.” The series also features fun cameo appearances from real-life math instructor Chung Seung Je and comedian Yoo Young Woo, who plays a butler.
“Next Seat, Francesca” premieres November 6 on Wavve, with two episodes released every Friday.
