Noel Clarke has pleaded not guilty to six sexual offense charges. Appearing at Westminster Magistrates Court in London on Wednesday morning, the 50-year-old actor, writer, and director denied all the charges, which include two counts of sexual assault, three counts of voyeurism, and one count of exposure.

The Charges and the Court Appearance
The charges relate to alleged offenses that took place between 2007 and 2016 involving five women. Standing in the dock, Clarke spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth, and address before entering his not guilty pleas. He was granted bail ahead of his next appearance at Southwark Crown Court on November 18.
Clarke was charged last month after the Crown Prosecution Service, which makes prosecution decisions in England and Wales, reviewed a file of evidence submitted by London’s Metropolitan Police and authorized the charges. The allegations cover a period spanning nearly a decade, and the current proceedings will determine how the criminal case progresses now that Clarke has formally denied all six charges.
A Career Under Scrutiny
The case follows years of controversy surrounding Clarke. He is best known for writing and starring in “Kidulthood” (2006), the raw British drama that explored bullying, drug abuse, and extreme violence among young people in London and launched a trilogy continued by Adulthood and Brotherhood. He also had a prominent recurring role in the BBC’s sci-fi flagship Doctor Who.
His not guilty pleas mark a new stage in the legal proceedings, shifting the case firmly into the criminal justice process. With a crown court date now set for November, the coming weeks will determine how one of the most high-profile cases in British entertainment moves forward. All charges remain allegations, and Clarke has denied every one of them.
