GTA 6 First TV Commercial Airs On NBC Sports: Shower Scenes Cut, Lucia's Hair Tech Gets Extra Screen Time

GTA 6 has officially hit the airwaves. Rockstar Games‘ first TV commercial for the game — a 90-second spot seen on NBC Sports — is mostly last week’s launch trailer, but with some notable broadcast-friendly changes.

GTA 6 TV Spot Removes The Shower Scenes, Extends Other Shots

The biggest difference: the shower smooching scenes — all three of them — have been taken out of the TV cut. With those moments removed, several other scenes run slightly longer, giving fans a few extra milliseconds of footage to pore over.

Among the extended moments is a longer plane shot and, most interestingly for detail hunters, more screen time for Lucia’s fancy hair tech. Rockstar’s character detail work has been a talking point since the launch trailer dropped last week, and the TV spot gives it an extra showcase.

GTA 6 Release Date And The Xbox Question

The commercial also notably skips any mention of Xbox, a detail already drawing speculation from fans about platform positioning. What remains clear is that Rockstar is ramping its mainstream marketing machine into full gear — a TV spot on a major sports network signals the game is entering its final promotional push.

The 90-second ad is essentially the launch trailer re-edited for television, but for a game this anticipated, even a re-edit counts as new footage worth dissecting.
