tvN’s “100 Days of Deception” has unveiled a special poster dripping with intrigue — and Kim You Jung is right in the middle of a dangerous mission.
The period spy romance, set during the Japanese occupation of Korea, stars Kim You Jung as Lee Ga Kyeong, a pickpocket who becomes an undercover spy for the independence movement and infiltrates the Japanese Government-General of Korea. There she becomes entangled with interpreter Kim Tae Woong (GOT7’s Park Jinyoung), also known as Sato Hideo, the adopted son of the Inspector-General of Korea, the second-highest-ranking official in the administration.
What’s Hidden in the 100 Days of Deception Poster
The poster shows the Government-General building at night, with each of five illuminated windows revealing a character doing something different. Lee Ga Kyeong — operating under the false name Geum Seo Hee — wheels a cart carrying a five-layer cake, glancing around her surroundings. One floor down, Sato Hideo points a gun at someone inside the building, raising questions about why he has drawn a weapon there.
Meanwhile, Yoo So Ran (Kim Hyun Joo) reaches inside her bag for something while Yoo Philip (Lee Moo Saeng) jots something down in his notebook, planning an operation of their own. And at the very top of the building, Sato Shinichi (Jin Sun Kyu) stands with a glass of champagne in hand. The poster’s tagline reads: “Plant a spy inside the Japanese-Government General of Korea.”
The poster follows last episode’s cliffhanger, in which Gugukdan’s second assassination attempt on Sato Shinichi turned out to be his trap — and Lee Ga Kyeong found Sato Hideo standing outside the door right after her secret phone call. The next episode airs October 24 at 9:10 p.m. KST.
