Between Steps New Stills Tease a Three-Way Showdown
Between Steps is a romance drama from the late director Ahn Pan Seok, known for hits like Something in the Rain, One Spring Night, and The Midnight Romance in Hagwon. It follows Park Min Jae, a former swimmer who lost his right leg to illness, and Im Yoo Jin, a graduate student trying to find a new direction in life after losing her way.
In the previous episodes, the pair finally became a couple after promising to stay together until the end. Since then, they have been working through the small arguments and emotional shifts that come with any new relationship. Yoo Jin also had a complicated first meeting with Min Jae’s mother, Hong Eun Joo, played by Shim Hye Jin.
The new stills change the mood entirely. One image shows Min Jae deep in a serious conversation with Se Jin, who clasps his hands over his head with a troubled expression while Min Jae watches him closely. What drove Se Jin to seek Min Jae out, and why does he look so weighed down?
Im Yoo Jin and Kim Se Jin Face Off
Another still captures a cold standoff between Yoo Jin and Se Jin, the two exchanging icy stares. According to the production team, Se Jin repeatedly steps between the couple and lands them in unexpected situations. The push and pull between Yoo Jin and Se Jin, who each carry very different feelings tied to their affection and admiration for Min Jae, is set to play out as a tense yet playful war of nerves.
For viewers, the question now is whether the couple’s promise to stay together can survive a rival who keeps finding his way into their story. The next episode of Between Steps airs on October 26 at 10 p.m. KST, and the new stills suggest it will be one fans won’t want to miss.
