Kim Soo Hyun’s agency GOLDMEDALIST has released a new update on the legal proceedings connected to the late Kim Sae Ron, saying police have confirmed criminal charges against several people linked to the case and forwarded their cases to the prosecution.

In an official statement shared on October 26, the agency said it was announcing the results of the police investigation into complaints filed by Kim Soo Hyun and GOLDMEDALIST against members of the late actress’s bereaved family and others, including a person accused of impersonating her aunt.
GOLDMEDALIST Says Accomplices Forwarded to Prosecution
According to the statement, the update follows the earlier arrest and indictment of Kim Se Eui of the YouTube channel HoverLab Inc. (Garosero Research Institute) in connection with the case. GOLDMEDALIST said criminal charges have now also been established against accomplices who it says took part in offences alongside Kim Se Eui, including spreading false information, and that those cases have been sent to prosecutors.
The agency said those forwarded this time include the deceased’s mother and the individual accused of impersonating her aunt. It said they face charges including defamation by stating false information, distribution of footage using cameras under the sexual crimes punishment act, and attempted coercion. A decision not to forward charges was reached regarding the deceased’s father, the statement added.
Two More Figures Named in the Kim Soo Hyun Case Update
GOLDMEDALIST said police also conducted a separate investigation into people not included in the original complaints. Lawyer Boo Ji Seok, legal counsel for the bereaved family, and Kwon Young Chan, operator of the YouTube channel Kwon Young Chan TV, have both been forwarded to the prosecution, according to the agency.
The statement alleges Boo Ji Seok led two press conferences using materials it describes as false and manipulated, including falsified KakaoTalk records and AI-manipulated voice recordings, which it says investigative authorities confirmed. It said Boo faces defamation charges, while Kwon faces charges related to the distribution of footage using cameras. These are allegations as presented in the agency’s statement, and the cases are now with prosecutors.
GOLDMEDALIST closed its statement by thanking investigators, saying they verified the facts based on extensive data and objective evidence. The agency has not announced any further legal steps at this stage, and fans are watching for any response from the other parties named.
