Japanese boy group ONE OR EIGHT brought their high-energy sound to the Philippines on October 23, storming Samsung Hall in Manila with their “ONE OR EIGHT Special SHOW CASE 2026 in ASIA -V8-” presented by SOZO. The eight-member group’s first-ever Manila performance turned into a full-blown party, complete with an encore the crowd demanded.

ONE OR EIGHT Manila Showcase: BET ON YOURSELF Energy
Made up of MIZUKI, NEO, REIA, RYOTA, SOUMA, TAKERU, TSUBASA and YUGA, ONE OR EIGHT have built their identity around an energetic blend of pop, hip-hop and performance-driven music. Their motto, “BET ON YOURSELF,” reflects a message about chasing dreams and daring to stand out — and it was on full display in Manila.
Before taking the stage, the group sat down with the media and named “TOKYO DRIFT” as the song that best represents them right now, citing its acceleration, speed and velocity. They also teased a dream collaboration with Filipino boy groups SB19 and VXON, and spoke about how their ongoing world tour and the challenges since debut have helped them grow as artists.
ONE OR EIGHT Encore: TOKYO DRIFT and YANKEE SQUAT Return
The show kicked off with “YANKEE SQUAT” and kept the pace high, with the crowd jumping and singing along to every performance, plus solo moments that made the night feel personal. After the group took their final bow, the Manila crowd cheered for an encore — and ONE OR EIGHT returned to the stage for another round of “TOKYO DRIFT” and “YANKEE SQUAT,” interacting with fans so much it felt like a real party.
The group closed with a message to their Filipino fans, promising performances that will make fans happy and that they will never regret coming to see. The Manila date is part of the Special SHOW CASE 2026 in ASIA -V8- tour, which also stopped in Singapore on October 21 and Bangkok on October 24. Exclusive merchandise, collectible photocards and fan activities rounded out a night their fanbase, 1DERZ, will not soon forget.
